What are you using to rock your kids? Right before bedtime, we sit down to read a book (or two) and I sometimes rock them both. Then everyone gets in bed for night time. Well, the last couple of times I tried this, the glider I have barely accomodates all three of us. They are on my lap but I feel like their legs are not comfortable all jammed up on the glider arms. Any ideas?

We have a recliner that rocks and its great! Our glider became too small real fast.

Lately we've just been snuggling on my bed & reading stories before bedtime. My glider hasn't been used in forever!

We didn't buy it (Dh thought it was to big to fit through the door) but at a huge furniture warehouse we found a loveseat sized glider that was AMAZING. You'd be able to fit all 3 (and probably 4) of you comfortably. Check out any of the furniture stores around you and see what they have. It was about the same price as a regular recliner ($350) so maybe pricey for just a glider, but would be useful with the living room furniture later on....

We have a glider in their room, but all three of us haven't sat on it together in forever!! We either sit on the couch and read, or they both sit side by side in the glider while I sit on the ottoman in front of them and hold the book facing them while I read it (actually I have most of them memorized b/c they always want me to read the same ones over and over).....

I actually wish that we had bought a loveseat-sized glider like the PP mentioned....that sounds like the perfect solution for twin families!!!

We actually use our glider every day. I rock them for a minute or two before they go to bed. I can barely do it with them both anymore because they are so close to on another that all they want to do is tickle each other. So based on that alone, I think I'm trying to solve a problem that isn't really a problem. I realized last night that I love having them squashed up on me.  As long as they aren't complaining, I'm going to stop trying to "fix" it. Thank you ladies for all of the ideas! I do think we're going to start taking them to our room for book reading before bed. Then the rocking before bed will just be a short thing we do if they want it.
