Have any of you used these? They look like they are the same thing but they are half the price (but not as much of a variety as the Robeeze). I was thinking of going today and picking up a couple of pairs. Also, are these kinds of shoes ok for babies who might be on the verge of walking? When is it really necessary to switch to "walking shoes?"
We have these, Mini-Star, by Bobux. We have 2 pairs for each baby, but they have only worn them a handful of times, since we just got them. So far so good, though. I think these shoes are perfect for pre-walkers. When they really get going, I would get them some shoes with more support.
I have a pair of imitation ones I found at Big Lots. I think they were originally from Payless and they work great!! It's the only way I can get my DD to keep her socks on . Mona
I have two pairs of knockoffs that I bought off E-bay, and they are great! I don't really like the selection they have at Target. I want to get the girls the Princess Robeez (haven't found any Princess knockoffs in their size). So I'll probably break down soon and do that.
I buy the Shoezoo ones from eBay. Quality is definitely less than Robeez, but the price is also a lot better so in the end it works out well!
I think these type of shoes are great for walking because many doctors will say bare feet are best and these are about as close as you can get & still be wearing shoes.
quote: When is it really necessary to switch to "walking shoes?" This is exactly what they should be wearing for learning!! They say that barefoot is best and these types of slipper shoes are the next best thing!!
Ditto that these are actually best for walking (unless the terrain is rough or rocky -- then you want something with at least a rubber sole). We have one expensive Bobux pair (very similar to Robeez) and one from Target, and as far as I can tell, there's no difference. The Bobox ones are maybe a little softer, but Sarah seems perfectly happy with the Target ones. She is now walking almost 100% and even plays outside in them.
I'd say if you are using the shoes to hold on socks...you might want the real thing. My son could kick off the Target ones, I have no idea how...and the Robeez are just fine. My little girl can use either. HTH!
I just got the Target ones, not the best selection, one pair has pink bears, and one is purple with bows only bought to match their coat. But they work great.
In what section do you find these at Target? Baby deprtment or in the shoe section also what are they called? I've never seen then but I have not been looking for them. Thanks
I got some look alikes on ebay too for half the price and free ship! They are soft and wear and wash great. esp since they outgrow them before out wearing them. We do not have any targets in Vt yet!
I had baught them and they seemed nice but my boys wanted no part of anything on their feet. The did walk however at 9 1/2 months. So if things dont go well just keep grippy socks on them.
