Risk of babies changing position?

As of our latest u/s today, both babies are still head-down. I am trying to find any info on the chances of one or both babies flipping. Also, is there a time when its less likely that they could flip?
    Thanks! :)

ETA - they are each in their own sac and have their own placenta - don't know if that makes a difference in the chances of them changing position

Well, I don't think I am the norm. I was told by my OB "Oh, you're 28 weeks, they'll stay where they are now". Didn't happen. My girls were still changing positions until the end. Baby A was head down most of the time, but occasionally she would flop to vertex. Baby B did the same thing. On delivery day Baby A was still head down, but had turned face up which presented a problem at delivery. They couldn't turn her so I went in for ann emergency C.

Well I hate to be a downer but just last week in the middle of my 34 week u/s my boy flipped from head down to breech. I actually watched him do it! I have di/di twins so he's in his own sac and has his own placenta. I'm only 5'1" so where he finds the room is beyond me. I think he might be an aspiring acrobat!!! Now my girl has been head down for months but it's probably because her pesky brother hogs all the room  I know you're really hoping that they'll stay put but just be prepared that the little monkeys may have other ideas! Mine flipped at 32 weeks.

I guess they can move anytime!

I do think it all depends -- my boys are mono/di -- and they have both been head down since 27 weeks. Baby A has been head down since about 20 weeks -- the OB seems pretty convinced that they will stay that way -- but we'll see! These babies have minds of their own, and don't always do what they "should".

My twins b/g, were both head down until about 29 weeks. now baby B has moved anywhere from breach to transverse. I am still hoping that she will flip back, but i think she is pretty comphy

My baby B was transverse or breech the whole pg.... my baby A went from vertex to transverse at 34 weeks... My personal philosophy is that if they are both breech or both vertex there is less chance of them flipping... I think the problem comes in when one is transverse.. I think there is more wiggle room in there....

Heehee I love your question! I'm 34 weeks and you'd think that there would be NO ROOM to move, but my baby B flips constantly!!!! She may be head down one day and then head up the next, it honestly drives me nuts!...so yours still have time to flip. I gotta warn you, it's a bit uncomfortable when she flips cause she's getting so big and long! LOL
