can anyone share what time their kids wake, nap and go to sleep?
today was the first day without naps - ever. lol. my kids were MONSTERS by dinner time but passed out by 7. lol.
not sure if it was worth the trade-off.

my kids have to nap. I'm just looking to see how many hours of sleep everyone's kids get per day at night and then with their naps. TY!

My two are 4 now but at 2.5 their schedule was:
    wake-7:30-8ish
    nap-1-4pm
    sleep-7:30

at 4...the schedule is more like this:
    7:30-8-wake up
nap from 1-2/3 (depending on the day and how tired they are, if it's no nap day, they still go to their rooms for quiet time)
    bed time- 8pm

My girls at 3.5 wake around 7, nap from 1-4 (ish), and go to bed at 7:30, however they don't usually fall asleep until 8:30 or so. They average between 12-13 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period. I think we probably could drop naps but with the new baby I need a nap in the afternoon which is only really doable if we're all asleep.

We are almost 2.5 and finally are back on a great schedule!

    8am: wake up!
    12:15: nap
    2:15: wake up
    8pm: bed time

If they wake up earlier than 2:15, then they go down at 7

Our normal schedule at 2.5 is:

    6/6.30am wake-up
    1 pm - 3 pm nap
7.30 pm bedtime, usually asleep by 8 pm

My girls just turned 2 but they stopped napping at 23 months. They average 11-12 hours/day.

    Wake: 6-6:30
    Nap: NONE :(
Bed: 6:30, asleep before 7pm. Some days if they are extremely tired, since they are still adjusting to no nap, they are in bed at 6pm.

    thanks for the input

when i was working it was:
    wake at 6
    nap from 12 - 2, 215
    bed at 730

now that I'm home we are having a greater deal of difficulty getting them to bed. I'm assuming it's because we took the fronts off their cribs. they talk and talk and talk, lol.

    right now its about
    wake at 715ish
    nap around 1230ish
    bedtime around 8ish

trying to get the kids to bed and stay in their beds. my LO ends up in my bed every night.

Mine are only 2, but their schedule is
rise - 6am (6:30 if we are lucky!)
nap - 12-2 (a little longer at daycare, a little less at home)
    bed - 7:15

My oldest kept the same schedule from age 2-4. He started dropping naps between 4 and 5, and now at almost 6 naps very rarely.

so do you think the new sleep issues could be a result of waking later and their new beds?

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's kids stopped napping at 2! On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, my oldest didn't stop napping completely until he started school this fall and even now anytime we go anywhere in the car in the afternoon he still falls asleep!

Keeping in mind that we're a homeschooling family who doesn't have to get up early...

Spencer is up about 8:30 to 9am. He naps from about 2:30 to 5:30 (sometimes later) and then goes back to bed about 10pm. He's overly emotional if he doesn't get a nap and then has a much harder time going to bed that night, too.... being all wound up and bouncing off the walls. So I try to really minimize the days he doesn't get one. It's interesting how different kids are with their sleep patterns, though. My oldest took naps until she was close to 5. By 2 1/2 to 3, Trey didn't really need them anymore, maybe just once or twice a week. He stopped napping before Sage did, even though she's almost 2 years older. My nephew had to be on melatonin to help him sleep because as a toddler he was only getting 5-6 hours/day despite all kinds of accomodations to help him sleep by his parents.
