It's getting closer to summer & I was eyeing up the swim diapers when I was at the store the other day. I was realizing how many more we'd go through this summer than last & remembered a post long about about the reusable swim diapers.

So I looked around & have found lots of different ones out there. The boys have super cute little swim trunks, so I don't need them to LOOK nice at all.

Has anyone tried THESE? Or do you have another brand/product you recommend? I want something that will hold well, hold up well to washing, and HOPEFULLY last us all summer!

    Thanks in advance!

Go to Target! I bought some there for about $5 each that were fantastic. They have some that are attached to a suit or little diaper types like your link. They hold up to washing AND drying with all of the rest of the clothes and they're soft and comfy.

I second the recommendation for the Target reusable diapers. We found them last year but haven't seen them in our Target yet this year for the next size up. We didn't swim every day last summer (probably only 20 times the entire summer) but the diapers lasted great through the swimming and washing that we did.

    hi there,

I will order the iplay swim diapers, here the girl's one...:

for the boys, I'll get the plain white (like in ur link but also from iplay) and then just wear regular trunks over it...they do have the drunks with built-in diaper but we have so many cute ones for him that we won't need those.

    just fyi:

I have many friends that use the iplay and are very happy with them, about the sizing....I tried my kids the small on (borrowed from a friend) and it was too tight...and my babies are small, 19lbs but tall...so I'll order medium, hopefully it will fit, that's always the thing with ordering online.

I also have a pack of pampers swimmers, just in case....always good to have.

    have fun,
    alexa

I had two pair of the Iplay ones and they are very cute BUT if they go in the dryer even once, they're ruined. I'm just not that attentive to laundry!

We have a bunch of hand-me-down swim diapers - I don't know the brands but they are awesome and work really well! Good luck!

Another vote for target. But buy up because they run small.

Thanks for bringing this topic up! I was just wondering about the reusable swim diapers!

Has anyone tried the sunsmarties from OneStepAhead? I was thinking of buying their swimsuits.

Do you feel like you would need more than 1 bottoms per child in case they go #2 in the reusable ones?

Or would you just take the pooper out of the water & *dispose* of the ick & rinse & put back on? :umm:

I am confused on how these things work!!

I was wondering the exact same thing myself! Somebody bought my girls swimsuits that say they have a built in diaper... So what if they poop in it? lol... Glad to know I'm not alone on all this stuff. We didn't use swimsuits last year because we didn't go anywhere that we needed them and the girls were still pretty small.

PHEW! At first I felt like a ding-dong asking about the poop!
I really want the 'built in diaper' suits, but need the scoop on them first!!!

Where at Target? As in, what aisle what I find them? The baby section? The diapers? By the plastic pants? Is it CALLED a swim diaper?

    See, I'm full of questions!

When I found them, they were on an endcap display with hats and sunglasses near the baby stuff. It is labeled a swim diaper and there were swimsuits with built-in diapers by the same company on the display as well.

ETA: I always carried backups JIC but really needed two for each kid anyway since we go so often. My boys never pooped in them so I didn't actually have to deal with it.
