I still have not gotten my period since the girls have been born. I'm not complaining AT ALL, but I don't want to be surprised by its return either. When did your period return? Oh and I'm supplementing with formula, so I'm not exclusively BF. Thanks.

I nursed C&C until 9 months but got it back at 6. Same with Mason - I'm still nursing but it came back at 6 months

11 months here, after one or two of our nursing sessions became pretty short and solids consumption went up.

Not yet for me either, although I did have an IUD put in, I'm actually hoping it never returns, but I won't hold my breath.

I was worried about being surprised too. When we started to wean I started to keep a supply just in case but I had weeks of cramps before hand. I acutally posted thinking wondering why I had cramping for so long. Hopefully you'll have it easier. She wasn't very strong when she did come. (It wasn't until we were down to 4 feedings/day that she returned). It was VERY VERY strange I must say to have AF after so long!

Oh - I had a lot of headaches right before too - both were new to me!

I got mine back at 11 months. I didn't supplement, but solids consumption was up. I still nurse once or twice a day and have found AF to be a bit irregular - def not every 28 days - more like 40 days.

Good question. I was kinda curious when mine would come back as well, but the babies are still only 3 months and I am about 95% exclusively BF.

    BTW, what does AF mean?

25 months!! I haven't had my period since we got pregnant two years ago last month!! Still exclusively BFing at sixteen months at least 3-5 times a day. I got a Copper IUD six weeks PP and I am ovulating just not menstruating yet. Here's hoping it never comes back! Yeah right!

that is so not fair and now i am really worried. i am not even at 3 months yet, and i think i got mine. i say think b/c a week and a half ago i got the mirena put in, had the typical spotting but then for about 4 or 5 days i have been bleeding, especially when i go to the bathroom. and i am getting this pain in my upper stomach that gives me goosebumps it's so strong, makes me hunch over really. i thought it was my period but then didn't know if it was a side effect of mirena but it's too weird that i already have it 2 1/2 pp and i am either nursing at home or pumping at work every 3 hrs, except just this week my boys started sleeping like 6 or 7 hrs in a row!!! woo hoo any one heard of this. not trying to hijack post...

I haven 't had AF return but I know it is coming! I can feel my body changing (aka no longer dry as a desert, breasts are shrinking  ) and am anticipating the return in the next month or so! I have so enjoyed being without it since September 2006!!!

Mine came at 4 months for the twins and did the same with DS. I thought that was rather quick considering I was BFing.

I didn't get mine until the babies were about 15 months old! I got it just before I dropped the bedtime feeding. Yet another of the many, many benefits of nursing!!!
