so i'm approaching my 3rd trimester and seem to be experiencing a lot of the first trimester symptoms. a lot of food aversions, SEVERE sensitivity to smells, super tired (of course now unable to get comfortable enough to sleep), and nausea bad enough to get a script from the doc for anti-nausea medicine.

just wondering if this is common or not and if so when should i expect it to start to fade?

I'm just started with the food adversions and the nausea all over again at 36 weeks so I think nothing is ever normal in a twin pregnancy!

One thing my doc mentioned to me is that with multiple pregnancies, and the fact that there just aint enuff room in there for your organs and them, it squishes your stomach up moreso than with a singleton. THis causes reflux, which can be misdiagnosed as a return of morning sickness. I was having heartburn, but it was responding to tums, but i would still feel sick to my stomach. He wrote me a script for Ranitidine which is an anti-reflux med. It did wonders! Im still taking my diclectin, but only because I am extremely paranoid after a few missed doses and me basically not being able to get out of bed the following day. Im sure it would be fine if i stopped taking them.. but Im not willing to risk it! it might be worth it to ask your doc about reflux. Another tell tale sign, which i had ALOT of, is if you bend down to pick something up or tie your shoes and all of a sudden.. the nasty vomit crawls up your throat. I thought that was just a common pregnancy thing, turns out its all related and the ranitidine cured it!

Yes! Me too! For the past week or so I have started feeling nauseous again at night just like I did the first trimester. I am currently 29 weeks. I have wondered too about whether or not it could be because of the horrible heartburn that is so bad I am hoarse all the time.

I started throwing up regularly again at about 30 weeks. Sadly, I just got used to it and knew that mashed potatoes were the best thing to eat when I thought it was going to happen...much easier coming back up.

    Hang in there!

I started getting nauseous in the third trimester and getting very tired, as well. It wasn't bad enough to get meds but still didn't make life any easier. I hope it eases up for you soon.

I've been getting sick again too! I only had about two months reprieve from it. Neither of these babies are head down and engaged, they're both up high and transverse, I think they are pushing everything up to my throat LOL

I just noticed this too.. there are certain smells that just bother me all of a sudden. Namely, the soap my husband uses in the shower. I had to throw it out.. he was not impressed
