replacement toys for exersaucer?

We were given an exersaucer from a friend whose daughter grew out of it shortly before the twins were born. We are thankful because they are a bit pricey, however we've been storing it in our storage building since we got it. We just pulled it out today because the twins finally have a enough head control to sit in it and a lot of the toys have little mold spots. I took the fabric seat out of it and kept it in the house when we first got it for that reason but I guess I didn't think the plastic would get anything on it.

I've washed them and soaked them in bleach water but some of them are still a little.....funky. lol

At BRU I've seen a few random toys for the exersaucers but never more than a couple and never any that I've seen on the exersaucer.

Have any of you replaced your toys on yours or just bought new ones? If you did where did you get them?

 

We got a used on on craigslist for $15 - it was like new. Not sure where you would get replacement toys - I would try to buy a used exersaucer instead (craigslist, consignment, whatever). The price on new ones is crazy, IMO. :huh:

 

Yeah I agree. Buy used one on craigslist. It might be cheaper than replacement toys. We got one exersaucer and one jumperoo from sil (used ones). We bought 2 more exer and 1 more jumperoo. So we have a set at home and one set over my parents (kids stay there in the weekend). These toys are must have imo. They improve kids leg mussles, body control. Plus you would have 1 good hour to do laudry and bottles.

 

Is there a consignment shop, like Once Upon a Child nearby or anything? I know the one near us always has a few Exersaucers. Or, if you have FB, put it as a status one day. Word of mouth is really good to! I think that or Craigslist may be your best bet.
