Hey everyone! I’m planning a long backpacking trip through several countries in Asia and Europe, and I realized I’ll be relying on my phone a lot more than my laptop. That means tons of public Wi-Fi in hostels, cafés, bus stations, and airports — basically everywhere. I’ve heard so many stories about people getting their accounts hacked just because they connected to the wrong network. Now I’m thinking I should get a proper VPN for my Android phone before I even leave. I tried reading reviews online, but it’s honestly a mess — half of the “Top VPN lists” feel sponsored, and the comments are totally contradictory. Some people say a certain VPN works great in different countries, while others say it disconnects constantly. I just want something simple, stable, and secure for my phone. If anyone has experience using a good VPN on Android during travel, I’d appreciate real recommendations, not ads.

Hey! I’ve been backpacking and working remotely for the past year, and I know exactly what you’re talking about. Public Wi-Fi abroad can be super risky — I once had my Instagram login triggered from another country right after using free Wi-Fi in a hostel. After that scare, I started looking for a proper VPN specifically for mobile use. The one that ended up working best for me is vpn for android I’ve been using it across Thailand, Turkey, Georgia, and Germany, and it’s been consistently stable. The app is lightweight, easy to install, and doesn’t drain battery like some others I tried. Speeds are solid, even when streaming or downloading offline maps. I also appreciate that their no-logs policy seems legit — privacy matters when you’re traveling. Definitely worth checking out if you want something dependable for Android while hopping between networks.
