When can I just use regular oatmeal instead of baby oatmeal? Anyone know?

I always used regular plain oatmeal; I don't think the baby stuff is any different, just more expensive!

It's different. It's MUCH finer than regular oatmeal.

To the OP, I would think by 10 months they should be able to handle the real stuff. Maybe you could call the doc just to be sure.

It should be fine for them now! If they don't like the texture, you can always put the dry oatmeal in the food processor to make it a little finer & more powdery, and then cook with it.

That is what I did - took regular organic oatmeal and ground it up really fine, I will be using that for the babies.

We always used regular Scottish Style oatmeal, organic and whole grain. In the first month we did put it in the coffee grinder to make sure it was very small. For the last few months they eat it just like the rest of us do.

Around 10 months, started giving regular oatmeal to my guys, which they loved!
