Ok so Josh is doing great! Peeing almost all the time but the poop is still an issue - no biggie.

But Zach flat out refuses to go in the potty no matter WHAT I bribe him with :( He freaks and always wets himself and has not gone on potty in a day or so.

What do do with him? Its almost been a week. I dont want to go back to diapers...but he goes through undies/pants every few hours all day long :(

    ?????

i called their ped and she said Z appears not to be ready so its ok to go back to diapers. But Josh is doing great. Its ok to have one training and not the other. And half the diapers and less laundry.

Ahh he will need therapy later in life for something right????

LOL! I don't say this from experience because I have no clue, but I wouldn't think that one training at a time would hurt anyone. If he's not ready, he's not ready. I would think it would be better to go back to diapers and try again later rather than try to force him to keep up with his brother. Maybe once Josh is doing really well Zach will be inspired. :)

Don't worry... he will be ready in probably a month from now when he sees how awesome things are going for her!!! And don't be afraid to shower a little extra attention on her... maybe he will see all the positive attention she got for PTing.

I wish with my eldest DD that I had put her back in nappies instead of continuing with toilet training. I'm sure that would have shortened the process for us. I ended up doing it and she was out of them within weeks as it gave her the motivation to actually want to do it.

If he's not ready, then you definitely need to back off a little!! Sorry it didn't work, but try again in a month!!

thanks all. yup i put him back in diapers and ask him if he wants to use potty. Sometimes yes sometimes NO. Josh is doing GREAT though. Only one accident a day. He pooped in his pants and felt soooooooo bad. I have never gotten mad at him for going in his undies ever. I think he was upset with himself. Can they be at 3ish? I have relaxed a little and figure I will try again with Zach in a few weeks to a month. Maybe then it will just take a day or two? :p

    Good luck to you all!
