    Hi there!

I'm pregnant for the 1st time every with twin boys and am planning on registering for our shower right after the holidays when my husband & I both have some time off work. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you moms out there could provide me with any advice on what to register for, or what to avoid. Specifically what are "must-haves" for twins? What brands are better for specific products, etc.? I want to start making a list now so that we're more prepared when we go in to do the registry. I can only imagine how confusing it's going to be!

    Thanks in advance!

not a twin mom yet, but i heard from others that the double snap n' go is great to have. It is easy to use and can last a while. As far as strollers, someone recommended to me the valco trimode runabout twin stroller.

    Hi there :wavey:!!

Not sure if you have seen the Sticky HERE - it is a GREAT list to go by when registering for showers and a great checklist to make sure you have got all the necessities before your little ones arrive!!

Hi, I dont have my twins yet, so I'm in the same boat as you wondering what I really need two of and so on, But I did register with my son at BabiesRUs and their awsome to register at. They make everything easy with certain sections and so on and their staff could actually answer my questions. Oh and one thing I know I'm getting is one of those play matt floor gyms (I'll probably get two different kinds) my son and my little cousins all absolutly loved there's it was something I over looked while pregnant till my aunt bought it and said believe me you'll use it and let me tell you my son loved it more than anything else=)

Must buys ---- Zippered sleepers Zippered sleepers Zippered sleepers. you won't have time for those snaps. Some snaps are worse than other too so try them out before hand.

---- items like Cotton Carter outfits that they could sleep in and wear out too. You often have twins in their sleepers sometimes ALLDAY long, so buy nice ones ..... with zippers. hehe

--- nothing you need to iron

--- one bouncer, one swing -- often one baby will like it and not the other. Also they get bored so you can alternate after say 20 mins.

-- different toys. So not two of the same toy. I love the Lamaze toys with lots going on. Also love the Fisher price toys which are say 6 months to 24 months ... so a large age span

--- items that can be transformed into older baby items. I have an exercauser that can be a toddler track. A bouncer that can be made into a rocking chair.....

--- Robeez shoes the best shoes and they are the only ones that stay on their feet. I know there is an online store.

--- Dollar store recieving blankets are the best for spit ups, and I liked the dollar store wash clothes too. The more expensive wash clothes have this edging which is annoying.

-- DON'T buy the baby towels they are thin, and too small. Buy new towels and keep separate for the babies.

--- you don't need a Diaper Gene just a bathroom pail and garbage bags. The diaper gene replacement bags are too much money and I only liked it the first couple of months. it gets smelly and when they start to eat solids you just want to get rid of the thing....

--- a video camera and a good camera is the BEST buy. The most important thing is LOTS of pictures of you with your babies. Even better hire someone to come to the house. Otherwise you get pictures of everyone else else and NOT YOU.....

--- most twins are two different sizes so watch the clothes and keep the tags incase you have to return them.

--- love love love my Moses basket. Great in the beginning to put them both in for naps, then later to carry them up and downstairs.

-- a single pack and play is all you need and I love my cheap on with a bassinet and a change table on it. It was 100.00 and a more expensive one would not be worth the money. it is still used as a nap area for my one daughter.

--- exercausers with LotS of toys on them.

    good luck.

Yes-Stay away from all those cute clothes. Yes-they are cute-but you want EASY! I still feel bad for all the clothes I bought mom's! LOL!

-Zippered anything! One piece outfits are the best! Especially when they are little!
-SWADDLERS! Some will say Miracle Blanket(I never used it-but hear great things). We had about 6 of these blankets-and we used them until they were 6 months old! They were AWESOME! Get them in various sizes!
-Burp cloths-you will NEVER have enough!
    -Bibs-also-there will never be enough!
-Booster seats/highchair for restaurants/other family/friends houses. These are MUST HAVES. They are LIFE SAVERS! No need for dirty high chairs in the restaurant, and you can put them right in the booth with you-which is what we do. We use them EVERY WEEK! More than once as well!

I ditto the toys-register for toys for when they are older! As well as toys that transform for when they are older. Our exersaucer transformed into something they could stand at and play with. It was great-like a new toy!

Another toy was one they laid on their back and kicked at. Well-that transformed into a seat/desk they can still play with all the buttons, and when a bit older, it's a desk they can color at.

Laugh-n-Learn Home/Kitchen-I registered for it due to the RAVE reviews on here. DO IT! They LOVE it! They play with it everyday-I want to get them the Kitchen one for Christmas.

On a side note...for our shower we did a diaper raffle. I HIGHLY recommend it. We got SEVEN months worth of diapers-with TWINS! Some think it's weird. I thought so and felt guilty for putting it on invite. As if twins wasn't enough, kwim?? I felt greedy. HOWEVER-ppl bring the diapers if they want to. They have a choice. Doesn't matter brand/size...if they bring a pack-they get a raffle ticket and you can raffle a few gifts or a big gift off at the end. People thought it was a great idea who were at my shower. I recommend it to EVERYONE! It certainly can't hurt!

I've heard there are some "snap" type bibs from Walmart --- check it out. The velcro ones are ok in the beginning but then the velcro sticks to everything in the wash and never to itself. At first I liked the Carter ones because they tied up at the side, but now I love the snap ones I have. I'm from Australia so we have different stuff here, but I've read where people have found these snap ones at Walmart. I recommend 6 of them. I have to put two in their diaper bag because they just rip the other ones off in seconds.

you really do go through a ton of bibs when they are small and I bf plus formula. So if you get a stack of them you will use them. I did keep some nice ones for "good" for when they got bigger and were drooling. I didn't want them all to appear well worn.
