ds would take an ounce and then refuse the bottle and cry. he was not gaining, and then started to lose weight, for a few months the only way to get him to eat was to feed him in his sleep. heres a link with more info.. http://boards.babycenter.com/bcus11979/messages/3470/1

Arching and screaming while trying to eat
    Grunting
Excessive spit up or no spit up at all
    Lots of crying during eating
    Rejecting the bottle or breast
    Possible slow weight gain

one of mine has stopped eating with about an ounce left. he used to take the full 4.5
and, at the end of the bottle, he cries with the bottle in his mouth
he hasn't been napping well either today. . .

    what's the diagnosis mommies?

id ask the doc. theyll prolly do an upper gi, or send you to a pediactric gi doc. mine did. the upper gi and u/s both came back fine for ds though, but from what someone told me on here, theyre not really trying to detect reflux with those tests, just making sure everything is the way it should be. my ped. doesnt get that though and always questions why hes on meds for reflux when the tests were fine.

Hmmmm besides the crying does he show any other symptoms? Has this been going on for awhile? Is he getting frustrated and maybe wants a faster flow nipple? I would bring it up to the Ped and see what he or she says.

If he takes almost his whole bottle that throws a loop in there.

I would try and faster flow nipple like pp.

If you do suspect it is reflux do the best you can to elevate him during and after feeds. Throwing/spitting up is NOT necessary for it to be reflux. They could have "silent" in which it goes back down burning twice!

Oh my reflux days how I hated thee!!!!!!!!!
