My twins are on two different formulas. We went to a GI specialist last week and she said to try soy. (we were on alimentum and gentlease). I am just wondering what everyone else is using. I have been doing half soy and half alimentum for my DS and it seems to be upsetting his tummy. He has only had 3 bottles of it though. Hopefully that doesn't continue, otherwise I am going back to Alimentum.

My twins are still on the preemie formula, until we switch to whole milk next month, Enfamil Enfacare. They've never had any problems with it due to reflux. We do put cereal in their bottles.

we switched from gentelease to nutramigen. They have been on that since they were diagnosed around 8 weeks.

Alimentum ... hate the stuff, besides the price, the smell (of spit up) is just freakin horrible. Either way he spits up so I am considering changing to the Target version of Gentlease (since my dd is on regular Target). I'll discuss it with my ped next week. I am still not 100% convinced whether he has reflux ... I just don't know what it is.

I think we had a combo of Reflux and Milk Protein Allergy so we finally(after many options)ended up with Prevacid and Nutramigen with cereal in the bottles. About 3/4 weeks ago we switched to Similac Soy with no problems(woo hoo) then dropped cereal a couple weeks later. We are now dropping Prevacid per Pedi at our 9mos appt

once we switched from milk based to soy my daughters problems went away, and its only in the last month or so that my son doesn't spit up a few times a day...we never had an official diagnosis but the soy helped tremendously - and now he's finally outgrowing it...

Good Start. Worked better than soy or nutramigen or even alimentum.

Enfamil AR - it has rice starch in it - it makes it a bit heavier so
Ava keeps it down. Ava doesn't really spit up - she projectile
vomits - and has the other signs of reflux.
the Enfamil AR has really helped - I breastfeed them for the most part - but sometimes it is hard for me to keep up with them so
I give them a little bit of formula.

We use Similac Advance with cereal in it. My docs told me if its just reflux, changing formulas won't make a difference. We did try Nutramigen and Good Start just in case it was an allergy or intolerance, but neither made a difference, so we medicated. They're doing much better with the cereal and being on meds. By the way, did any one else find that Good Start made them stink (BMs and gas) horribly? It was one reason, when the Good Start made no difference with the reflux, that we went back to Similac. They were unbearable! [IMG]

We used Good Start -- it worked for us with reflux (my DS's reflux was worse than DD's). We did not have milk protein allergy, just reflux and used formula to supplement breastmilk. In the beginning, the Good Start gave the babies lots of (stinky!) gas, but that went away after about a week.

Hang in there, the reflux does get better!

We used AR - it made poopies hard...the we used Nutrama-whatever and it seemed to give them tummy aches - didn't make relux any better. We switched to Good Start Supreme with DHA and ARA - they have done great on it. No tummy aches, great poopies - she still has reflux and spits but they seem to "digest" fine.

Isomil Advance Soy and cereal. Nothing else worked, not even meds.
