    Did the spitting gradually atop?
Did they just wake up one day and not spit anymore?

For 3 days prior to today Thomas seemed as though he was not going to apit much anymore. Only 3 or 4 times a day. Now it has started all again. He has spit at least 40 times today. It seems like such a set back.

My hoped were high. I am so sad! I thought it was going away!

Are yours on medication? mine are on Zantac and I've been gradually reducing the amount of their meds. Colby has taken to it really well but, after the second reduction, Kellen started spitting up again. So I bumped him back up. A friend of mine, whose son had reflux, said things improved dramatically for him once he started solids. I haven't noticed a huge improvement yet, but they are down, quite comfortably, to 1.0 ml and 1.4 ml per dose (as opposed to the originally prescribed 1.7 ml and 1.8 ml).

Thomas has Prevacid once per day. Half a pill. He also gets Zantac at night. Elizabeth I took off all medications a while back and she didnt seem to need it.

I just want the spitting to stop. I am tired of myself and everything else smelling like Soy formula. Uggggg

:hug99: Reflux sucks! My ds didn't stop refluxing until he became more active, like pulling up, crawling, etc. When he started doing that he strengthened the muscle that was allowing the "stuff" to come back up. It was a pretty quick turn around for him. I noticed he was getting better because he was taking his bottle easier and I didn't hear it anymore. I'm hoping it ends soon for your little guy.

my ds is 8 months and we just had to get him on nexxium, because the zantac wasn't cutting it anymore. I'm frustrated as well, since I thought we'd be getter better not worse by this age. The new meds are doing a great job though. If Thomas is getting worse, then maybe a check of the meds (increased dosage, or something different) could be helpful.

Justin spit up after EVERY bottle. He was never put on meds & the Dr said it would quit at a year. She was right.

Ours got worse between 6 and 9 months, and then stopped at 14 months. Once they started moving around more, the spit up definitely got worse. Gravity is supposed to help, but when they are sitting, they are putting pressure on their tummies, and with mine, it caused more spit-up. Hang in there, I know it's awful. :hug99:

Ours got worse before it got better. Once they learned to roll, it seemed to get worse from the pressure on the belly. And then they learned to sit up and bend forward, and blep...everywhere. The girls were on Zantac 3x per day as of their 9 mo. visit. The pedi told us to take one dose away per month and hope they didn't need it. We did wean them over about 2 months time and they were fine after that.
