My one son, seems to get this blotchy red circle on his face next to his mouth. At their last well check up (16 mos) the Pedi recommended using Hydrocortison Anti-Itch Cream (it does not itch). He says it is not eczema. I tried the cream plus some others and it will NOT go away. What it does is fades and comes back. Now seems like he is getting one on the other side of his mouth.

Has anyone experienced this, any suggestions on what creams might help get rid of it.

It does not seem to bother him one bit. But it is horrible to look (well it bothers me).

I've tried the following creams and none work to clear it up completely:
    Cortizone 10
    Aveeno Baby
    Aquaphor

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! :)

My ds gets really dry red skin. We use Cetaphil. It works wonders. I have also heard Triple Paste is great also. It says it is for diaper rash but our pedi said we could use it all over. GL.

Could be ring worm in which case you would need Lotrimin.

I know it's not ringworm, but will try some of the creams mentioned, thx

If it crops up when your DS eats, you can try applying something like Vaseline before he eats to make a protective barrier for his skin. :good: Nate is very sensitive to some acidic foods (he has eczema) and we occasionally have to do this for him.

I don't have an answer, but this happens to my DS, too, so it's nice to know we're not alone. We haven't found anything that completely clears it up, either.
