Lily has taken to walking behind the laundry basket. We have tile floors and I turn the basket upside down and she walks behind it and pushes it across the room. I figure it is time to get her one of those push behind toys. She just turned 8 mos. yesterday. Does anyone have any recommendations?

    thanks,
    Amy

    This is my absolute favorite:

That is what I was going to say. My boys loved it and it really helped them learn to walk. My nephews PT recommended that over any other walker type of toy.

We got a Fisher Price one for the girls that was a walk & ride. It was like the Lion one about but without the animal theme and a little simpler. They did wonderfully with it. One I do not recommend is the Incrediblocks Hippo. That didn't work very well and was difficult for them to push.

BTW, my girls also liked pushing around the upside down laundry basket or box. It was adorable when they do it together. :D

My girls do this too except they get on opposite sides and can't understand why it won't move!!!

We have this one and it is a hit!! We got it for them for Christmas. Super sturdy and they love it! One can sit in the front and the other one (usually DS) pushes. WE also have a leap frog Learning Band Walker, its good but when the batteries run low it can become annoying :)

My MIL bought them both for Christmas, they take up quite a bit of room though, this is something you can get away with having only one of.

These are the two we have as well. My two LOVE them. Although I think J is more interested in turning them upside down. They can now ride them themselves which is cute.

Mine love the stride to ride lion. Put Jonas on and Lucas loves to get behind and push him. They haven't quite mastered how to ride it themselves but they are pushing/walking/cruising with it.

If you're looking for something that isn't too pricey, my boys love their Fisher Price Sit N' Stands.

We got a Little Tikes Push and Ride Racer. One would ride and one would push them. They still ride it today (they are 2) and push each other. They also have their dolls ride in the back. We now will have my husband and I sit across the room from each other and one will ride. We will push off and they fly across the room to the other adult and then get pushed back. The love it.
