    Hello!
I have soon to be one year old twins. Both weight over 23 pounds. I am looking for a lightweight side by side umbrella stroller for quick trips out and about. I already have the Kolcraft Contour and Valco Twin Trimode. I really need something easy to get in and out of that doesn't take up tons of room. Any suggestions appreciated!

Have you considered the Maclaren Twin Triumph or Techno? Check out their website for info on weights...the stroller are made from aerospace grade aluminum so they are super light weight. I have a single Maclaren Volo and it only weighs like 8 pounds!

I have the Inglesina Twin Swift, and I really like it. It's a little stiff at first, but it breaks in after use....and the hood is kind of useless and frustrating, but otherwise, it steers great, I love the three separate handles, and it's relatively lightweight for a twin. It does have an umbrella fold. And, it's inexpensive compared to Maclaren, I think -- I got mine on Ebay.

This is a link to what I use:

I needed another stroller other than my tandem. We travel all the time for hockey and needed something that would fold up small, due to luggage and MANY hockey bags. The only thing, that I don't mind, is it doesn't have a middle handle for steering. It moves easily enough though without it. It also has a lot more storage in the baskets than most of the other umbrella strollers. I know some of them have a bar in the middle of the basket that makes it useless.

I don't own one, but I've heard good things about the Jeep. If I had it to do over again, that's what I'd get. We got a Maclaren Twin Traveller (don't know if they make it anymore, but it's similar to the Techno) and it was just too expensive for what we use it for.

I've had so many strollers (Valco, Peg Perego, Graco, etc.) and the Jeep Twin is the one I would recommend! It's side-by-side, light-weight and easily folds! I think for the value, it beats the rest!

Ditto on the Jeep stroller. We just moved from hawaii to japan and I needed a light-weight one that was easy to travel with while the jogger and my regular side-by-side (an Inglesina Twin Swift, as mentioned by pp) went in the furniture shipment. I was wary of the cheap price and light construction, but I am very pleased. Definitely a good choice for less money. It is MUCH lighter than the Ingelsina twin swift, very easy to fold together and unfold and throw in the back of the car, and the twins seem comfy in it. The sun shades are worthless, so if that is important to you, I'd find something else, but besides that, I am very happy with it. Bought it at ToysRUs for about $90 I think. I got it in late October, and it has taken a pounding and is still working great.

I have the Eddie Bauer lightweight twin stroller and still use it occasionally for my almost 4 yr olds. Its very lightweight, its front back, but the size of a single stroller. I love it.

Sorry to for the side question, but I have the Jeep. Does it fit through regular sized doors like at stores and whatnot? We got it for our trip to the airport, but I want to start using it for other reasons.

Thanks so much for the info!

Yes, the Jeep fits through most standard doors. All doors that are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair (which is US law for public buildings, by the way) can fit a Jeep stroller. I have not had a problem yet.
