My twins are 14m- 12 m adjusted and its time to move them from their graco snug rides to convertible car seats. One baby is a little larger than the other, so I definitely want something that is easy to adjust the straps. Seems that these convertible car seats have changed alot since my 6 yo needed one... I'd appreciate hearing any recommendations. Thanks and happy New year!

We like our Evenflo Triumph Advance seats. The straps adjust easily. You just push the straps up to make them looser. You turn a nob on the side of the seat to tighten the straps. My LOs seem comfortable in them.

That's what we have too. They work great. My kiddos are small too (they were in their Snugrides until 15 months)and we still have them rear facing in the Evenflo Triumph Advance.

I need to delve into looking at convertible carseats at some point too... good luck.

I just wanted to add that the AAP does say to keep rear facing as long as the carseat is able too... even past 2 years old. not sure if you were planning on forward facing, just research and make sure you understand what you are doing. there are youtube videos showing crash dummies forward facing and there is a lot of damage to the child.

our babies are still in the SafeSeats - rear facing car carriers at 20 months.... so I don't have any recommendations.

one other thing you need to think about is if you need the seats to be skinnier or don't care if they are wide. I'm looking into the ones that are slimmer, like the Radian, but haven't made my decision.

I have two radians and a marathon. I like them all. They are all easy to adjust you just push a button and pull on the straps and to tighten you just pull on the tether. If you are looking for narrow car seats the radian is definitely the narrowest! Good luck with your search.

This is the car seat we got for Evan at 6 months old when he outgrew his infant carrier. I like it a lot! We do still have him rear facing.

IF you are not interested in rear facing, I'd go with a Graco Nautilus. It is only foward facing BUT it goes up to 100 lbs!!!! My twins are in these! I think they go up to 65lbs as a 5 pt harness and then a highback or just booster up to 100lbs. That said, rear facing is the safest.

Both of these car seats will not break the bank! They are VERY reasonably priced.

I'd go with something that goes to 65lb and can rear-face to 35lb (although I'm sure most kids outgrow them in length first anyway). We had marathons and one broke when we switched cars, and we got the My ride 65 from Graco after and I absolutely hate it. Still like the marathons though.

We have the same. They were easy to install and the straps are easy to adjust...the only issue we have is that they can get twisted up easily but it's not too bad to straighten the straps out. Good luck with your decision!

We have True Fits. I love them. They are so comfy and big. Lots of room.

We have these Eddie Bauer deluxe convertable car seats. I like that they go to belt positioning boosters up to 100 lbs. My Mom has the Graco Nautilus carseats in her car (one in pink and one in gray). They are a bit wider than the ones we have, so she has a harder time with them, but they look more comfortable and are much softer than the ones we have in our car.

I have 2 Evenflo Triumph Advance and 3 Marathons. I cant say enough great things about either seat. If you can afford it, I would go for the Marathon. It will allow you to keep them in a 5 point harness a bit longer. :good:

We love our First Years True Fit convertible seats. Our children are still rear facing in them and love every second of being in them. They are easy to adjust, install, and wash. I love being able to throw the fabric part in the wash and clean them up quickly and easily. I also have the Evenflo Triumph for our second vehicle but our children hate being in them. I don't know why since they are also great seats but all around we prefer the True Fits.

I love our Marathons. And my girls are still rearfacing at 21.5 months. I am planning on keeping RF until they hit 35 lbs (hopefully).
