    hello ladies,

quick question...do I really need a rocker with twins? we have been looking but the only thing we have found which we like will take 12-16 weeks to get (twins will be 2 months soon). DH suggested just a recliner for their room, but I just don't know..any thought?

My girls are 8 months old and have a rocker and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I wish I had the room when my oldest dd was a baby (we lived in a smaller house).

YES... I didn't get a rocker until they were two months old and it really is a godsend. Its so worth it, there are some days that is the only thing that settles them.

I almost live in my rocker! We have two - one is a glider and the other is a rocker/recliner that I bought at a garage sale from my sister (we traded a bike for it). And it love it!!! I feed both of them in it during the day, holding one in each arm. It works perfectly!

No, we didn't get one. I actually dislike the rockers/recliners. I get motion sick very easy. yes, even in a chair! So I didn't want one. We got a big comfy chair with an ottoman (good back support, wide enough to hold 2 babies at a time). Our night nanny (and pretty much everyone else) LOVED this chair.

BTW If you don't get one, make sure you get 2 swings (which you probably need anyway!)

I have a loveseat glider in the twins room! It is fantastic. I didn't want a chair glider since I was bf and the 3 of us wouldn't fit in a chair. I found the loveseat glider and I love it! It is sage and has beautiful crochet pillows! It will be in the girls room for a long time. When they are older, I'm hoping they will sit together in it and read books, play, etc. It was $800 but worth every penny.

Valerie -- where did you get your loveseat glider? I've been thinking it would be a good thing to have in our family room (for just the stuff you described), but didn't know where to find one. And I hate furniture shopping!

I use a plush rocker from BRU. It wasn't too cheap but I would pay double if I knew how much use it'd be getting!
