Really wishing I could have afford preschool this fall

    I have no idea how I'm going to survive another year of that. I don't think they'll qualify for free preschool with EI in 6 months... I don't even know if I'll find anything we can afford for next year :crazy:

    So sick of DD's tantrums about anything...

    So sorry to hear it is rough. Can you do some swapping with other moms so you at least get some down time. My friend found 2 other moms (one with twins) with kids teh same age and once a week sent the kids to someones house who planned activities for a couple of hours. It helped the kids get out and mom to have some time with no kids.

    I started working part time in order to pull our kids out of care and save some money. There's no way we can afford pre-school now that I'm on a lower part-time salary.

    what about head start or subsidized daycare for a few hours a week? Have you looked into any state programs? The United Way offers grants for pre-school also that have much higher income limits than your standard state subsidy...
