I am just about 30 weeks, and have been crampy every now and then. Today I have had a lot of lower cramping, similar to menstrual cramps. I also have some up high. It doesn't feel like contractions, I don't know what it feels like. Not so good. Back ache too, but that isn't totally new for me either. I had a regular OB appt. about a week and a half ago, but no U/S since 5 weeks ago. My cervix was fine then. Does anyone else ever feel like this?

I had this happen a couple of days ago. After about 8 hours of severe cramps, they transitioned into contractions. We ended up in L&D for the night but they were able to stop the contractions. Definitely go in or call your Dr.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did call, and my Dr. is on a Disney cruise! (Lucky him since we live right outside of Buffalo and it is cold.) The one covering for him said to go to the hospital to get checked out. Some contractions were showing up, but thankfully they were doing nothing. My babies look great and are both right around the 3 lb. mark. I was there for several hours. They didn't even give me any hydration b/c I always have at least 3 L of water a day anyway and was perfectly hydrated. So, my plans with my other three girls were ruined, but I did owe it to the babies to go in. I am still pretty crampy, but they said that unless the cramping changes it should be okay! Oh, and they are both breech now. I was hoping for a vaginal delivery, but maybe there is still time. The Dr. I was wasn't optimistic about both turning now, but in the end all I care about is that the girls are safe and healthy anyway.

I know you have children at home. You don't want to go to the hospital, I miss my family terribly!
