Reagan & Riley have Arrived

    Ok, here it goes...I'll share baby stats first...then the gore!

    Scheduled Induction 1/18, both arrived vaginally
    Reagan arrived 1:45pm 5 lbs 10 oz, 17" apgar 9/9
    Riley arrived 1:52 pm 5 lbs 12 oz, 18" (she was suppose to be the smaller one according to all the u/s)apgar 9/9


    So, we went in bright & early & got everything signed & sealed...pitocin started at 8am (I was at 3cm)...nothing happened, so at 11:45 they broke Reagan's water (it was suppose to be earlier, but there was some nurse lunch issues going on). Well, that really intensified the contraxtions..asked for my epi...finally came in at 12:45 to give me one...that was done at 1pm, w/i 15mins I was complete (oh, when they broke my water I was up to 4cm). I was
    also asking for something stronger, LOL...I had some serious pain in my right hip area, it sucked. Oh, yes, while I was waiting for the epi to take full effect & asking for something stronger, I was begging the nurse to check me too. She knew it was all over then, LOL, that I would be complete.

    So they rushed us down to the OR, by then the 2nd block had taken GREAT effect. Reagan came out face up, causing some tearing...Riley
    caused no problems.

    That night they were awesome! I was totally prepared to send them off to the nursery (hubby went home to be w/the other 3 kids)...but they hardly cried so I kept them. But it wasn't restful...the hospital is so noisey, people coming in & out of your room, & the baby next door or across the hall screamed it's head off most of the night!

    We came home last night & I feel good, for giving birth & all, LOL. So nice to back in my own bed (& finally enjoying being my own bed again).

    I opted to bottle feed & they have been little piggies! And let me say, they have no troubles in the elimination dept either, LOL (we are going to sail through diapers)!!

    Thank you e/o for your advice & support. This pregnancy was totally awesome thanks to all of you!

    Congratulations!!! Your girls have beautiful names (I'm pretty fond of Reagan as you can see from my ticker..lol). Glad to hear that all went well!

    Congrats! CUTE names[​IMG] Its funny because I met two little 4 year old twins yesterday with the exact names and I was thinking how cute they were together!

    Congrats on your new babies!!You will have lot's of fun with your twins.They were a great weight.Our twins weighed 7lbs. a piece and were born at 39 weeks.Well enjoy your twins and try to get some rest!!! [​IMG]

    Congrats on your new babies. It seems like it goes by so fast. I cannot believe how big my girls are already. And you talk about piggies mine are already 5-6 oz at a time. Good luck with your babies.
