    Another Pampers Question!

We used the Swaddlers and loved them but are now in size 3's. So I bought the Cruisers since those seem to be the next step up. They work great as far as no real blowouts(occaional) or leaks but I'm starting to wonder if they are breaking DS out. We have been fighting what I thought was a diaper rash for about 3 weeks now so I took DS to the Pedi to see if it was yeast. She said Contact Dermatitis and to use some Aquaphor. It started to get some better then I noticed last night it was bright red again all over his buttocks, around his genitals and some spots on his lower abdomen where the diaper starts. I can't remember for sure but it seems like we were on the new size Cruisers for a couple of weeks before any breakouts? Could it be a reaction from the Cruisers eventhough he never reacted to the Swaddlers? We haven't changed any other stuff(wipes, food, detergent, soap etc) and it's just in the diaper area so now I'm wondering if it's the diaper?

    Any BTDT?

It may be possible. We went from Swaddlers to Cruisers with no problem but my older DD had a reaction to a change of diapers when she was a baby. Maybe you can try a different brand to see if it clears?

I think I would try a different brand and see how he does. I have been using Huggies Supreme and love them. I feel they are very similar to the Cruisers, which we have also used. I bought the Huggies Supreme because I had a coupon and I like them. I don't like regular Huggies though, just the Supreme ones. Try a different brand and then you will know for sure. Give us an update, I'll be curious to see how he does.

This happened with my daughter. We were actually using Luvs and they put an added new scent into them that made my daughter break out. I was mad because it wasn't advertised and it cost me a lot of money in copays, tests at the dr. etc... to figure out the problem. I wrote to the company and they, of course, gave me a coupon for more Luvs. It has been two years, but if memory serves me correctly, Pampers and Luvs were actually made by the same company and both use a "scent." I was already using no scent wipes and shampoo and lotion. It was frustrating. Now I use Sam's Club and have no issues...

I bought some Huggies Supremes Friday afternoon and have been using them since. The rash is going away!!! Actually it's pretty much gone [IMG] They must put something(dye or scent) in the Cruisers that they don't put in the Swaddlers. They do smell different, both Dh and I noticed that. I love the Pampers(and points [IMG]) but it looks like we will be changing to Huggies Supremes.

    Thanks Ladies!

They have the same liner as swaddlers which break both my girls out horribly, and that was all they had on hand at the hospital so I brought my girls home with a literally bloody butt from the diaper rash, stuck them in huggies and didn't have a problem, but then discover through a mail sample that one can use the pampers baby dry which are cheaper and I love the new catipillar flex.

This happened to mine. We usually used CD with 'sposies at night, and after just one night in Pampers Cruisers, they both had horrible, *bleeding* diaper rashes. We switched to Target brand, and that (and the ped recommended hydrocortisone cream 2x/day) cleared it right up. If you don't have a Target nearby, we also had success with White Cloud brand at WalMart. I think both Target and White Cloud are pretty no-frills, scent free, and use less of that colloidal gel or whatever. Lots of luck!

Glad the Huggies Supreme seem to be working. [IMG]

The Cruisers cause Regan to have a really red rash. She only has it when she wears the Cruisers. I bought one package to try and will not use them anymore. We use the Pampers Baby Dry in the size 3 and like them. They don't cause any rashes and seem to hold up well, even overnight.
