Ansley has had a rash all day today. It's not bothering her, as far as making her itch. It looks like pin-pricks all over her tummy, back, and neck. It seems to me like an allergy but I can't imagine what it is. She hasn't eaten anything new...the laundry detergent hasn't changed in a couple of months. Ashlyn had Roseola in May so I know it's not that based on the way it looks. Any ideas?

ETA: Just remembered that she started eating fish sticks on Monday...could that be it?

Heat rash looks like that, too. Little pin pricks and doesn't usually seem to bother. Just a thought.

Ella had the same thing...we never figured it out though. We gave her Oatmeal baths and it went away..I also used some eczema cream on her...she sometimes gets little bits of that. I actually thought she was allergic to the grass for a while, but not sure. I went thru the same thing. no fever or other symptoms. It drove me nuts, but lasted a week or so and it flared up at different times. I have actually noticed if she drinks more milk than usual she gets eczema...hmmm. Something to think about.

yes, we thought it could've been heat rash..but odd that it lasted a week..? It's always 70 in our house..shouldn't have had a heat rash. But that's exactly what it looked like.

A yeast rash is pretty persistent and looks alot like heat rash. Usually it itches though.

alli - i just started a thread about something similar to THIS. my daughter was just diagnosed with "viral urticaria"...your dd's symptoms sound like my daughter's did. i mentioned some of the things the doctor told me in my post. i hope the link above works, to avoid a duplicate post. i did forget to mention in my post that they said heat WILL make the symptoms worse! i am in FLORIDA, so you can imagine what she looks like during a breakout while we're outside!

    good luck
