What is next? [IMG] The sitter just called me and told me that Kaylee has a rash all over her belly and starting on her legs. Any ideas what this might be. She said it is pin point red dots. None on her back (yet). Should I just wait it out and see what happens or should I call the Dr? By the way Happy Valentines Day to everyone! Looks like our romantic day will be dealing with pinkeye and a rash...Welcome to parenthood huh! [IMG]

    Is it bothering her?
    Is there a fever?
If they're not bothering her and there's a fever sounds like roseola. Not dangerous at all and will be gone soon.

^Amanda is right. Tpyically rashes are not an emergency. If it is not bothering her, and she does not have any symptoms I would monitor it for a few days. It she does spike a fever or starts itching it you should take her in.

Has she had any vaccinations in the last few weeks?

Emily had the same thing develop about a month ago. Turns out it was an allergic reaction to the Omnicef she was on. Additionally, she had developed a slight yeast infection (side effect of the Omnicef). It does sound like an allergy. As a proactive measure, I'd get it checked out for sure.

Thanks everyone for your responses. After I went and looked at it at the sitters I wasn't real concerned. She probably had about 20 red dots and they were just on her belly. I looked when I got off work and it was the same. Anymore with rashes I am not real concerned but still you always have "what if something is seriously wrong with her in the back of your mind" Anyways, I will continue to watch it and if it gets worse than I will take her in. She has not gotten any shots and she is not running a fever. That is why it was so weird for her to get it.
