Rash on Face...How to treat it?

My little girl has a small pink rash on the side of her face. It's light-pink with little dots, and when I gently touched it she didn't flinch.

What is the best way to treat something like this? Is there a specific cream that is safe for babies that I can use?

I'm also wondering how she got it...could it be an allergic reaction to something she ate?

 

I think any rash can be a possible allergic reaction. Did she eat anything different in the past 24 hours or so? I usually just put some Vaseline on first and see it that helps. Then I move to the creams if I need too.

 

Could be a heat rash. My son gets them from time to time. I normally use a little aquaphor.

 

milk allergy ? not STTN / reflux/ arching back, etc ?

 

My 3 month old son gets what sounds like the same thing. . .I asked the doctor because I thought it was an allergic reaction and he told me that its basically cradle cap on the face (seborrheic dermatitis). . . He told me I could put a small amount of hydrocortisone on twice a day when I notice it and it usually does the trick! Good Luck

 

One of mine gets that from drool. I just use vasline and it seems to help a lot.

 

Rose got a little rash-thing on the side of her face about a week ago [about the size of the tip of my pinky finger]. I'm thinking it might be a small form of eczema [cause I get it too sometimes - weather this time of year can be really dry]. I put some A&D ointment before naps. It's helped it a lot. and she's not bothered by it.
