Quick Update

I haven't posted in a week or so because (thankfully) we've been really boring! I'm still in the hospital...day 15 to be exact...and my girls are doing quite well. Cord blood flow dopplers continue to be elevated, but they have not reversed blood flow, so we're still cooking! We'll have our next growth scan early next week and hope to have some fantastic numbers to report.

My bp was up a little over the weekend, so they ran pre-e tests on me but all looks good. They keep throwing the tests at me and I keep kicking their butts!

Other than that, our only excitement has been my interaction with the nursing students. They are very sweet and I'm amazed at how little they know about twins. However, I've had to ask not to have any students in the future because they torture my girls (not to mention me) during our NSTs. Just a note of warning for anyone who may go through this in the future...don't be afraid to request not to be seen by students. My girls are hard enough to get on the monitors for a good 20 minute strip, so adding a student who takes over an hour just to find them does not help the situation. My girls were literally "over it" yesterday and began kicking me harder than they ever had before! I ended up taking myself off the monitors and let them know my girls and I were done for the day. Obviously, if they're moving around that much, they're fine.

Thank you to everyone for the prayers and well-wishes. We continue to take it day by day and are thrilled with our progress so far!

I'm so glad to hear that you and the girls are doing so well!! I found at my hospital visit that sometimes it's not just the students that take forever . It took the 2nd nurse I had over 20 minutes to find Walker's h/b. She wouldn't believe me to put the darn thing where I was sure he would be and when she finally decided to try it - OH there it was. Keep kicking those tests butts!!!

Danielle, I can totally understand your stance on no students! I joined the hospitalized club yesterday and like yours, my girls are very hard to get a solid strip on so I can only imagine dealing with someome without experience. Hang in there! It is only day 2 for me and this hospital stuff is driving me crazy already!
