    Well more like two....

    1) When's the soonest you can find out the babies sex? Some one told me that you could tell as early as the 13-14th week.

    2) When will be the best time to do the 4D scan with a twin pregnancy?

    Thanks :D

I think the usual time they can determine the babies sex is somewhere between 18-22 weeks. I'm sure there are the occasional situations that they can tell earlier, but I don't think its the norm.

I heard that the optimal time for a 4D u/s with twins is between 24-28 weeks. Any later than 28 weeks its hard for them to get a good pictures because things are so crammed in there.

I found out I was having two boys at 15 weeks. My OB told me that if the babies were cooperating you could find out between 13-14 weeks. I am getting a 3D/4D u/s next week (24 weeks). I called several companies and they all told me that I would want to come in no later than 25 weeks or so because it is often hard to visualize both babies after that point and get good photos in a twin pregnancy.

Hi, they told me it was 2 girls at 13 weeks, but I didn't believe it until 20 weeks. I didn't do the 4d.

During my 13 week visit, the peri told me that they would know for sure at 16 weeks. Then u/s tech asked if I wanted to know then. I asked the peri how accurate it would be, and he said the u/s tech would be pretty accurate. She told me she thought it was boys and would bet a few hundred dollars on it. At 16 weeks and beyond, it's still boys!

Then I told my ob the story a few weeks later, and he said doing that is "very dicey business." I told him how sure she thought she was, and he said that made it even worse! :)

I was told at 13w, they *thought* Baby B was a boy. They said that baby looked a little thick between the legs.We didn't put much stock in it at that point. But we found out at 17w3d that A was a girl and B was a boy, so they were right.

Not sure about the 4D U/S, sorry.

At 13 weeks, my u/s tech didn't even glance in the crotch area  At 16 weeks, she investigated for a while and we were able to confirm Baby B was a girl and the tech said she'd bet money that Baby A was also a girl (based on the u/s photos I was NOT convinced!!) --- 19 weeks rolled around and it was definitely confirmed that Baby A was a girl! It really depends on your u/s tech and the equipment they use -- some is a lot clearer than are others, and some techs are more confident and have been doing u/s's longer than others too... GL!!

    Usually 18-20 weeks..

I had a great 4D at 27 weeks and again at 31 weeks.. That one stunk!

Here is a link to our 4D place and there is a great calendar to put in your due date it tells you when your ideal time would be.

I found out my boys were boys at 13 weeks EXACTLY at my level 2. My close friend also found out at her 13 week level 2.

So do you guys go for your 4Ds at a special place where you pay for them? My peri does it, and it's included in my visit. I figured that it was typical for peri's to do it... is that not true?
