quick question about due dates!

im due May 16th but my Ob wont let me go past 38 wks max-my hubby has to book the time off now and he asked me what would be best? i said last week of april; that would make me 37 wks-he has to be on call that week thou; is the week before too early? I would hate for him to be in the city working hour to 2 hours away and getting the call im in labour!
What week would u say is safe to book off? should i go wk 36 just to be safe? then i can have him home in case i need to shuttle off to last min appts and stuff?

If I were you, I'd talk to the OB. Maybe they can give you a 'not before and not after' timeline to work with. We have the same problem but my DH is only 15-20 min from the hospital. Good Luck!

 

Don’t know if this is much help bbbuuutttt
I am due then too and my Dr said we will schedule the c-section on the 2nd of May or the 3rd… but I would be surprised if I make it past the removal of my Cerclage on the 19th of April

I went to 37+ weeks and never went into labor. Everyone is different. I would say book for the last week of April and hopefully those babies will hang in there until then.

I was a regularly scheduled appointment. My 37 week one and DD decided to sleep through the NST and U/S. The Peri decided it was time. Dale was at work and Crystal (sister)was with me. She called him and he went home to get the camera and made it there just in time to go into pre-op with me.

It could happen at any time though. I had a major scare at 32 weeks as I was contracting every 4 minutes. Terbutaline did the trick though and I never had another contraction. I learned you can definately not plan for when the babies will come. It will all depend on how things are going.

 

thats what im afraid of not knowing he works so far but at least i would have the nanny there to watch the boys and i could take a taxi if i needed to get to the hospital!
