As long as the bottles are clean. When I pumped, I had two big plastic containers that I would use (rubbermaid) to dump the milk into. Or else, use aluminum foil or some kind of plastic wrap to cover. It is so easy to forget things.

I have covered many a bottle with saran wrap. Also, as long as you clean out that water bottle well, I don't see the issue with using it. Maybe just use that milk ahead of the others so it doesn't sit in there for days. I don't even know why I am saying that...I just don't like drinking liquids out of those bottles after days - or just transfer at home.

do you think glad clear plastic cling wrap would be ok to cover the medella bottle?

Absolutely - I think it is fine. With that you will just have to be careful not to spill on the way home. :)

Clear plastic wrap is perfect (it is made to be safe for food)--just be very careful heading home.

I've done the same thing before. I ended up buying a bottle of water from the vending machine, pouring the water into my regular bottle then using the new, empty bottle for breastmilk. You do what you have to do, mama! (Ever since then, I keep a little baggie with extra caps in it in my pump.)
