    Maybe TMI , but...
My hubby and i had intercourse this morning, about an hour afterwards i have been having contractions, they are about 7-10 mins apart, ive tried lying on my left side and drinking water, but they are still comming. It feels like Braxton hicks ( stomach tightening) but with pain in my pelvic area and lots of pressure down below. Im wondering if its just because we "did the deed"?? I didnt sleep at all last night or the night before, due to my back hurting so badly. I have been having the braxton hicks since 24wks soo.....?

How long do the contractions last? I would call the doc on-call and see what s/he says.

What have your Braxton Hicks been like up to this point? Have your contractions now gotten worse or closer together? You could first try a short warm bath to try to relax your muscles and/or back massage from DH to try to relieve some of that tension. If they don't start to let up soon, though, maybe you should go to L&D, just to be on the safe side.

Edit: Traciroo posted the same time as me. I think that would be good to do first...call the on-call doc at your hospital.

I would call your Dr. That sounds kinda familiar...might be labor. Rest on your left side still, drink lots of water and time them more in the meantime. Good luck. Kepe us posted.

agreed- if they feel different (more consistant, more painful, etc...) than what they have been in the past and they're not letting up after an hour, an hour and a half... call L&D. I've been having BH since about the same time as you, and we've gone in twice for changes in their patterns to be safe. I always feel silly b/c so far, in the end they send me home, but I'm also always reassured that coming in and getting checked is what we're supposed to do! [IMG]

I would call your doctor as soon as possible. You are too early on, so play it safe. The worst thing that can happen is that they take a look at you in L&D and then send you home. Let us know what happens.

And man, you are my hero. 31 weeks and still going strong! [IMG]

I agree, I would call the doc. I think it is best to call before going to the hospital. The doc might have some additional suggestions for you before trucking to L&D.

Please let us know how you are doing!

Well they lasted for about 3 hours, then calmed down to back at 20-30 mins apart (i have been having all week at this rate). The twins are moving and kicking ALOT, so guess it was just from "the deed". The hubby says " we wont be doing that again till afyer they r born", it scared him lol. Thx alot for the advice.

Glad to hear things are ok! I would check with your doc at your next visit to see if intercourse is still ok.
