    Hi,

I'm working on my baby registry. Who knew this would be so difficult?! I'm wondering about a couple of items and I'm hoping some of you more experienced moms can shed some light on these things for me. I found these booster seat high chairs at Wal-Mart and wonder if I can get by with something like this instead of full-sized high chairs. We really don't have room for two high chairs and I like the thought of the portability of these. There seem to be two different types. I'd love to hear comments on both.

Also, I keep hearing about how great the bumbo seat is, but they don't carry them at Wal-Mart which is the only store remotely close to where we live. How do these other chairs compare?

    Thanks for your input!

We love the Healthy Care chairs and use them instead of a high chair. Easier to clean, travel with, take up less space in our eating area, and can be used to age 4+.

We love our Healthy Care boosters as well. We have used them for the last month or so and they take up very little space which is a good thing. The trays come off which is great for cleaning and very easy to take with you. :p

Beth, we never had full size high chairs with Emilie and Trevor at all. Not enough room for 2 of them. We have safety first ones, that are very similar to the FP Healthy care booster. That is all we've ever used. We fed them in the bouncy seat until they could sit in the booster seats at about 9 months ( mine were late sitters due to being preemies). They are great too because we take them whenever we go to someone else's house to eat and when they are older you take the tray off and push them up to the table.

Healthy Care booster seats here too! We bought our 1st one with our oldest DD 2 1/2 years ago. She still uses it today. Absolutely love it so we just bought a 2nd to use with the twins. Easy to clean, different height adjustments, fits under the kitchen table, easy to pack up for travel, ect.

Healthy Care Booster Chair! They dont sell them here so I had Ashley's Godfather bring them from the States and they are so practical!! We usually use them on the floor and they are easy to clean and very lightweight. Just remember to strap the babies in and snap the tray if you need to leave them unattended for a minute or two. I learnt the hard way when I strapped Chloe in and then turned around to pick up her food, she leant forward to hug me and toppled over - she wasn't hurt but Mummy was scared!!! They are also easy to attach to chairs! I didn't know you could use them to 4+ so that is even better!!!

I think those spacesaver chairs look just as good as high chairs. I had two Bumbo seats for the girls and they were kind of useless. I believe they only sat in them a handfull of times.

I recommend those FP Healthy boosters, in fact I just ordered a second pair because we switched them from high chairs to boosters at the dinner table, but we need boosters in the basement where they spend a lot of their day with the nanny. Love them!

    We never used bumbos.

I don't know about the high chairs, as we have two full size ones ... but we have 2 bumbos, and the babies aren't into them. They usually fight to get out of them. I still try to get them to sit in them, because it's another thing to keep them off their heads ... I got mine both as shower gifts ... but I think if I had known, I probably would have returned one and kept one ...

We have the space saver HCs and love them! My parents bought 2 for their house too so having to transport high chairs isn't a problem.

We had one bumbo, I never used it for feeding and recently sold it. My boys didn't use it much.

We have the space savers and LOVE them! Our kitchen is kind of tiny so it is great not to have to find a place for two full size high chairs!

We use our highchairs at home but I have the FP healthy care boosters for traveling and at the grandparents...LOVE them! Would work great for home too but I got the highchairs as gifts so I feel obligated to use them.

We have one bebepod chair and the boys like it fairly well. STarting using it when they were about 3 months old to help with sitting up and getting them off their heads. I still will put one in it and give them a toy and they will sit there and play. However, I would suggest just one and if they really like them then you get another one.

I have different high chairs, but I do have 2 of the FP Healthy Care Booster Seats and we LOOOOOOVE them! We go camping a lot, or to Grandma's house, etc & we've taken them just everywhere. Can't say I love them enough.

I did have a Bumbo seat for DD; she had mild torticollis & that helped to strengthen her neck. I don't think DS would've liked it much, though.....he was too much on the move. I've never seen the Bebe Pod, so I don't know how they compare. Only thing about the Bumbo that was a little drawback was if they have chubby legs, it can get a little tight. The BebePod, at least from the pictures, looks like it have a little more room around the legs.
