Hi! I'm only 25 weeks and already very uncomfortable at night. I'd love to find out how everyone else is making it more comfortable to sleep.

    Thanks!

I have a boppy pregnancy pillow from target, and then I put more pillows behind my back. I wish I had two of the boppy pillows, because I need to rearrange it every time I switch sides, which is about ten times a night!

I too at 26 weeks am feel discomfort sleeping. (I don't even really think I sleep) I toss and turn all night. I sleep with pillows surrrounding me and one body pillow that I love.

Same as the other posters. I use a body pillow between my knees and keep it cold, cold, cold in our bedroom. But, I'm not sleeping at ALL. This morning, my OB prescribed Ambien to see if it would help.

I used a memory foam mattress topper from Costco. I also used a body pillow tucked between my knees and under my belly. Then lastly, I had DH tuck a pillow in by my back. Then I just prayed I would not have to get up in 10 minutes to pee!

I'm 26 wks too. I have about 6 regular sized pillows around me, plus a body pillow between my knees at times. My DH calls it my nest. Of course when you get comfy.... you have to pee.

I am also about 25 weeks and have had a terrible time sleeping all week! I'm afraid it's just the start and it is going to get worse. I can't pinpoint anything that hurts or is uncomfortable, just that I wake up frequently and toss and turn all night. I've tried the body pillow, but it is so big and cumbersome, it just ends up on the floor! I've been having weird and stressful dreams about the babies all week, too.... And, of course, DH is snoring away through all of it.....

i like the body pillow too but it usually ends up on the floor like PP, between DH and DD. i bought a new really fluffy pillow that i keep between my knees and that seems to help

I am uncomfortable trying to sleep also. I have a body pillow that I use, but I catch my husband trying to steel it in the middle of the night. Usually by the time I get comfortable I have to pee!

I swear by this pillow! I used it when pg with DD and had no idea how handy it would come in for this one....once I found out it was twins and I was going to be so big, definitely getting there!, I pulled it right out and started sleeping with it. I CANNOT sleep well without it!

    Good luck to you!

I'm 26 weeks and I just discovered what makes me really comfortable at night! (For now, at least...we'll see about the upcoming weeks.)

We went camping last weekend, and I had the best sleep in a long time! My husband and I slept on our AeroBed (air mattress), and it was so much better than our bed! Our bed is a really firm mattress--when I'm not pregnant, I love a firm mattress--but the AeroBed gives a little bit, plus you can adjust the firmness, and it felt so much better on my hips. It was easier for me to roll over during the night as well.

When I'm farther along I think we'll definitely set up the air mattress in the house!

I put the boppy pillow from target behind my back, with the bottom between my knees, and I have my normal pillow angled in front of my face, and yet another pillow just under my belly. (It would be easier to draw a diagram!!) :p

Everyones different and you have to try a bunch, but good luck!!!

I remember that I had to sleep with (nearly) no clothing on and the air on cold because I was such a heater at the end. Pillows between the knees and definitely a pillow supporting the lower back helped a lot. So did a relaxing bath before bed. With a foot rub. :D

I have a bad back to start with, so when mine is really bad i go to the couch with my big king size pillow.

I didn't have much luck with body pillows, but I had an arrangement of 4 regular pillows -- one under my knees, the other 3 propping up my back so that I was semi-reclining. Then I also had one of those neck pillows to go behind my head. My hips hurt too much if I slept on my side, but I couldn't breathe lying flat on my back, so this was the only way. I kept this up until about 34 weeks -- at that point I couldn't breathe even semi-reclining on my back, so I had to go back to my side, because hips hurting was a lesser evil than not being able to breathe.

Hang in there -- you will sleep normally again one day!

We have a very thick feather pillowtop. After sleeping on it the first night, it developed a little "rut" for me to sleep me. Since where I lay sinks in.... I don't need anything to support my belly or my back because the rut does the job. (I hope that makes sense!) I have a pillow for between my legs, and one to hold onto (it's a tiny one.) Oh and DH's side has a rut too! It's not just because I'm prego!
