Last week I called the Dr. freaking out because I had a large part of my MP come out ( about a tablespoon), she said that is ok as long as it doesn't have any blood in it. I then we check and i was not dilated. She said this may keep happening and it is my cervix softening. Again today I had another large part come out, because it doesn't have any blood I'm not too worried. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, it this how long after did you go into labor?

I lost mine with my last son at 29 weeks....he was born just three days later.....however, that doesn't mean you will too.....I would inform your dr. that you lost the rest of it. And be prepared to go to L & D.

    Keep us posted,

I lost mine with my DD and it was blood tinged in the morning when I got up to go to the bathroom and she was born the next day. But that doesnt mean you will too. But just keep an eye on things!!

Mine didn't come out with my daughter until I was already in labour. It was way bigger than a tablespoon and came out in several large chunks. (Ewww sorry!).
Now I know that the mucous plug regenerates itself all the time...so if you are not bleeding I would say that it's probably just regenerating and it doesn't mean much.

I lost a quarter sized glob on Oct 15th, and another sizable glob a week later. In between, I just have enough to cover the TP when I wipe. My babies are still in me, and my cervix is still high and closed. My OB just said to watch for colour changes (pink, red, brown) and/or painful cramps. So far I've none of those.

Just keep an eye on things. If yours is just the mucous/snot coloured stuff, then chances are you're just fine!!

I lost mine at 28 weeks and two days later I went into labor but we were able to stop it. I dilated to a 2 and went on strict bedrest. I held them in til 34 weeks. I was very scared to lose my plug so early but it is possible to hold those babies in, like in my case. I was induced at 34 weeks so I could have gone longer. Good luck!!

Just be ready in case you need to go to L&D. I checked into the hospital (28weeks) and didn't get to leave til 32 weeks. And no I had no bags packed. DH had to do that and well...the outfits were interesting to say the least.

With my first daughter I lost all of mine and everyone told me it would be 3 days and she didn't come til 2 weeks later. I think it just depends on the individual. Good luck!
