    Hello ladies,

Just wondering, I had a great maternity appointment on friday. The twins seem to be doing great and they don't want to see me again for another two weeks so I take it we're all good, even though I'm swelling up like the michelin man from edema, my blood pressure is the same as it was at 12 weeks [IMG]

Anywhoo, as the midwife as feeling the bump and the position of the twins she found that twin A is already engaged in the pelvis (can I say OUCH !! when she was pushing on the bump down there)...I'm just wondering, when did that happen with you guys and was that a sign that the babies were on their way soon ?

I know I shouldn't hope for them to come just yet, and I don't...ok I do but I don't...you know what I mean, I'm just willing the next few weeks on. I was just curious.

Both are now head down aswell, so it's vaginal birth for me unless things change.

    Oh boy !

My twins were heads down at 37 weeks 5 days and no one could believe it but they turned to Baby A breech and baby B transverse sometime between then and 38 weeks 4 days! so we went on with a c-section!

with my singletons - they were heads down and engaged for 2-3 weeks
before birth - it always made me feel like I was going to hurt their necks everytime I sat down!!

bless your heart I felt so much pressure and my baby A never "engaged"
with twins that must really be uncomfortable!!

wow, that must be super uncomfortable! I was feeling a ton of pressure down there for awhile, but recently it's been a lot better. Now I feel a lot more back pain instead. It seems to come and go depending on how the babies are hanging out. With one already engaged in your pelvis it doesn't sound like they're going to switch positions again anytime soon....though who knows with these babies! I hope the next few weeks fly by for you!

Justin was head down & ready in there for quite a long time. With 2 babies there isn't too many other places to go.

Grace was locked tight in my pelvis for the longest time and plenty of pressure. Except of course on the day they arrived. Go figure...
