question....

Last night and during my nap today, I woke up choking. I can't tell if I stop breathing or if acid comes up and I choke on it. I'm going to sleep sitting up tonight on the couch, but has this happened to anyone else? I'm going to the doctor on Thursday and was just there Monday, so I don't want to call, but it is scary!!

 

This has happened to me a few times in the last few weeks - I think it was acid reflux and now that I'm taking zantax (OTC) it hasn't happened.

 

It does sound like reflux, I haven't had a problem but im already on nexium for reflux!

 

i had that, too. i tried to keep away from the foods that would cause reflux, and that helped me

 

YUP! Try sleeping in a recliner... sorry, that was par-for-the-course till delivery,...
Or don't eat close to bedtime. No fun, sorry,but it's worth it!!

 

Me too- reflux. Even what the dr gives me doesn't work very well. I find an ice pack on my chest helps a lot.

 

Thanks guys! That's what I thought it was. I slept on the couch last night and it didn't happen. I did notice when I laid on my right side I had really bad reflux. I had reflux before getting pregnant and nothing ever helped me before, so I'm not expecting it to now.

I asked for a recliner for christmas, but with the boys coming I don't know how that is going to work!!

 

ah yes, another pregnancy perk! I had almost forgotten about that reason I slept in my big chair! bless your heart!
