I] am 26 weeks pregnant and my babies are moving around in there, but I can't tell if babies are moving or if it is only one. I am just never sure. Does anyone else have trouble knowing who is moving. I believe I feel the baby a moving all the time and baby b I am not sure about. Let me know your thoughts an experiences

I'm 30 weeks and I can't always tell the difference either. I asked my OB about it at my last appt. He said that it really isn't possible to be certain which baby you feel moving. Sometimes they are facing each other so you won't really feel either one a lot. And depending on the placement of your placenta(s) it may be more difficult to feel one baby than the other.

During my non-stress-test on Wednesday, they found both of them crazy close together. I had been CERTAIN all day that one of them was there (being a kick king) and that the other had wandered off to be quiet somewhere else. Turns out the "kick king" was both of their feet as they were all cuddled up! And mine are di/di, so I was really surprised that they could be that close still! :)

So don't worry too much. What you might be feeling is BOTH and not know it. Or as the pp said, they could be enjoying a little early sibling rivalry and kicking each other. Or the placentas. So don't stress too much as long as you feel movement.

    Hugs,
    Dominique

So far, Gizelle is the active one (she's on top) and Nathan's the quieter one that still gives me flutters instead of karate kicks. Even the doc have to 'ask' Gizelle to stay still for awhile so she can measure her! :D Nathan's the laid back one with his legs wide open (and thus we also got to know his gender first!)

I literally have Baby A on the right and Baby B on the left. So I can tell when they move. But there are times when baby B flips sideways accross her sister and I cant tell. But she always ends up going back to "her spot" to get comfortable.

I would say dont worry, as long as youre feeling movement, thats all that matters!!!

mine are also right and left, but my last u/s at 25 weeks they were laying across eachother sideways so there was know way of me knowing who its been all this time. I have another U/S tomorrow so I will see their position again-I am sure its changed.

The ONLY way that I can ever tell them apart is when they kick at vastly different places...like I'll be kicked simultaneously in the cervix and the ribs....other than that, their kicks feel different...A feel kind of fluttery, like cymbals....B just feels rough...

I definitely didn't feel them both all the time, and they kept moving positions that I didn't know who I was feeling any more.

I only knew who was moving (or i think i knew) right after i left the obs office and we had just seen them on the ultrasound.
other than that i did not know.

I had that same problem. It was just that baby B was turned inwards and was kicking her brother and not me.. and baby a had his back towards her and he was facing outwards. Also. The placenta was partially covoring where baby B was.

It was so hard not to worry. If you are worried you can always go down and get checked!

Maybe when you are laying down to go to sleep or resting you could try to track the kicks/punches for 10 minutes & see what and where you feel them?
I also say that if for some reason you get concerned about movement give your Dr a call & they will have you come in for a NST :) That can give you some peace of mind :good:

Same here. At first I thought I was only feeling one because I only had movement on my right, but then my US showed they were both camped out on my right. Now I can't tell again.
