Call your doctor-usually vision issues and headache is blood pressure problems. I hope you feel better soon!

Could it be your BP? I would lay down and wait for the call. Sending you a hug....you need one!! :friends:

The DR called and said I needed to stop eating sugar and eat protein for the next couple days and go home and put my feet up today! So I guess I am heading home for the day...thank you everyone!

Do you have a blood pressure monitor at home? If so, I would check that. If you don't notice an improvement soon, I would go get checked out. It scares me that you're having vision issues with the other symptoms!

Hi there, I had the SAME thing happen to me a handful of times now. My bp has been consistently normal throughout the pregnancy and we even check it at home during one of the episodes and it was only slightly elevated but normal. I had no swelling when it happened so my ob ruled out preeclampsia over the phone but sent me to do some blood work that day to rule out protein in my urine and blood (indicators of p/e as well). Anyway, it all checked out fine, no p/e.

My symptoms were rapid heart pounding, hands shaky, general shakiness/light headed and a really scary vision change....and all throughout I felt like I was going to pass out. The vision change the same each time....If I was looking at your face, I could make out the features clearly but everything around it was wavy and I had seen spots too. I was SO freaked out that it was p/e!!! Horrible feeling. Weeks later at the 26 week mark, I found out I was anemic too so I am SURE that added to it too.....(I am now 30weeks and on 30mg more iron and have noticed a big difference in my overall energy and just general feeling better)

My ob and I determined it probably was a dip in blood sugar combined with the babies pressing on an artery where I was not getting enough blood and oxygen to my brain. It mainly happened when I was standing or sitting for a while in the same position. I even had it happen while in bed, sitting up using my laptop....but I was in the position for 2 hours or so emailing, surfing the internet etc.

Hope this helps you, just listen to your body and when/if it happens again, get on your left side lying down asap to get blood going again :)

Good evening, thanks to all that posted :hug99: I am feeling a little better still dealing with a pounding headache but I am glad to not feel the way I did this morning! I go to the DR Friiday so I would guess she will look into it then! Thanks again for everything :bow2:

It could be several things so good to get checked out. I agree it could be blood pressure. You can always check your glucose if you want to rule that out...I had very low blood pressure early early on in my pregnancy which has persisted. I couldn't stand for more than 3 minutes without feeling lightheaded, sweaty, my vision going weird and feeling nervous. Also my heart would race. My OB thought it was blood sugar but I tested it the next time this occured and it was normal.

Your symptoms really sound like a drop in blood sugar. I would get this all the time - I have to eat every couple of hours. I think it is even more important during a twin pregnancy. I eat whenever I feel the slightest bit hungry. If I start getting those symptoms anything with sugar will give you a quick boost. Orange juice is best - it will get to your blood system faster. But also 1/2 a soda or other sugar works as well. Terrible feeling, and really scary if you don't know what it is!
