[SIZE=14pt]Back when Colin and Ryan were infants, Ryan was the noisier of the two.

By that I mean he would grunt, snort, whinny (yes, like a horse sound!), sound like he was clearing his throat, etc.......

This of course worried me and all the doctors said he was just "noisy" and more vocal and he would be the one taking first.

Well, darn if they weren't right!!!!!

Both are coming along in saying words, but Ryan says his so much clearer, and has been putting 3-word sentences together for a few weeks now. I was talking to DH about this difference and he reminded me what the doctors had said when they were infants about Ryan and all his funny sounds.

I am wondering if anyone else has also experienced this?? (that being the noisier infant becoming the toddler to speak more or more clearer)

oh wow, i havent really thought about who's the noisier twin, they are both as lound/quiet as each other. Morgan gets angrier much more easier and will scream and shout at times. i wonder if she will be the one putting together sentences first.

Yes, that is definately the case at my house. My DD has always been the more vocal one and she is trying to repeat anything that I say to her. My DS is the laid back of the two and he is only saying a couple of words and he seems to be ok with that.

Both of my twins were very noisy babies(dolphin chips were our favorite) and they both talked early(vocab of a 2year old at 18 months)

My noisier twin talked first but my quiet twin talks much more clearly and was quicker to talk in complete sentences.

Not for us -- Sarah was the noisy newborn (although Amy cried louder, Sarah made more noises all the time) but Amy is way ahead on talking. On the other hand, it is still very early (17 months), so maybe when Sarah finally starts talking more, she will pronounce things better than Amy does. It wouldn't be difficult, since Amy is barely intelligible at this point!

Yep, it's definately that way in our house. Eli was very noisy as an infant. He made that strange "dolphin" noise. We actually videotaped him doing it because it freaked us out so much. He still seems more advanced than Max in the speech area. Eli will get upset because he can't say words correctly, where Max doesn't seem to care. Max was actually evaluated by Birth to 3 & was found to be delayed by 2 months vocally.
