I am sooo scared of having an early delivery! I know I already passed the 32 week milestone, but I still don´t feel prepared to have this babies, I want them to stay put at least until 36 weeks and my Dr. thinks I´m running out of space....I even have a hard time breathing normally!
So my question is, did you have a "feeling" something was not right? Were you caught by surprise or were you having BP issues, contractions, etc...?

    Thanks,
    Carol

I was caught by surprise at my 30 week OB check up. My BP was high. But I passed all the bloodwork tests at L and D so they sent me home. Only to go back a couple of days later with it even higher. I stayed on hospital bedrest for 2 weeks before they had to be delivered due to my pre-e. Hang in there, you are so close.

my water broke on a sunday at 11pm (35 and 5 days) and that morning we went to the mall and I felt REALLY tired just walking a short distance. but before that I had felt totally fine just normally tired from the weight of the babies.

I was caught by total surprise at a routine appt. at 24w. Up until then everything was fine. At that appt. I found out my cervix went from 4 (at 20w) to 1 and I was 2cm dilated and I was having contractions. I was at work that morning and felt great!! My oldest DD was born at 41w, so I had no history of PTL.

Thanks so much everyone, I´m scared of overdoing it.... usually I feel very well in the mornings, if I go to the mall I get really tired and then I begin having lots of contractions....I always regret it later, the next day I´ll usually stay at home, and then the next again I´ll walk a little more and not feel very well.... I get so tired lately if I happen to walk a little, they are not even long walks!
    Anyone feeling this way?

i was put on bedrest at 27 weeks, so i was pretty tired of that! ;) but because of the bedrest, i didn't really get tired from over activity. i went into labour at 34w1d on my own. i definitely felt it coming - i started getting mild cramping about two days before, and then my vag discharge totally changed consistency (sorry if TMI!) and then the contractions started coming more often & stronger so we went into L&D & voila! two beautiful baby girls. :) i know this is probably a silly thing to say - but try not to worry! the more relaxed you can be, the better all around.

I was very closely monitored and we noticed that one baby's fluids were very high so I got steroid shots on Sept 6th. This is very strange, but I had a dream in July that they would be born on Sept. 8th. Two days after the 8th, I lost my mucus plug. The boys were born on the 14th when my water broke. My peri didn't think I'd make it to 34 weeks and he was right! I was 33 weeks and 1 day.

I knew but my drs didn't think I was right. I begged for steroid shots and they said they would talk about it at my 29 week appt. I gave birth at 28w6d with no steroid shots. I was developing pre-e and had been contracting like crazy. My singletons were both born at 36 weeks. Looking back I am pretty pissed my drs didn't take my concerns seriously. I realize I am the type of person that down plays everything but man.... The day I went into labor I had been having contrax that I just assumed were braxton hicks but I was having to stop talking during them. I kept having to go to the bathroom and didn't feel right in my stomach. By the time I got to the hospital I was 5cm and 50% effaced. If you ever don't feel right, just go to l&d, best case is you get sent home!

I'm really afraid of this, too. I'm only 21 weeks. I'm dying to get first to 24 weeks, then 28, then the all-important 32 weeks. Of course, I hope I make it even further. I just can't help but worry.

I obviously haven't had my twins yet, but my ds came at 36 wks. I was on modified bed rest for high bp that meds was keeping under control. I was getting ready to go to a friends wedding and my water broke right in the middle of the kitchen, no signs of anything!

I was on a relaxed bedrest for the last 2ish months of my pregnancy, mostly due to me being very small and me and my OB being very paranoid. My water broke...didn't see it coming! I was 35+1.

I can't speak for my multiple pregnancy as they are not born yet...lol. My first singleton pregnancy I was totally caught of gaurd as the pregnancy had been running smoothy. I woke up at just over 34 weeks and my water had broke, and by the time I got to the hospital I was already dialating and my son was born 3 hours later. With my daughter I had been having trouble through the whole pregnancy. The doctor at 33 weeks said everything was perfect and thought that history wouldn't repeat itself and that I might go term. I ended having an unexpected plecental abruption without warning at exactly 25 weeks.

So my premature births were unexpected. I am prepared for a premature birth this time...lol.

I was lucky to make it to 31 weeks, so it was not a surprise that they came early. I was surprised when the peri did the U/S at 16 weeks and got a grim look on his face, explained that my cervical length was basically gone, and sent me up to L&D. That one was quite the shocker, as I was feeling great and had no clue something that horrible was happening.

It helps a lot to read everyone´s experiences. I´m trying hard to do as little activities as I can, it´s hard especially having 3 kids....
I do have a feeling that my water will brake after having contractions, I´ve been having a lot of them lately, they hurt, I can hardly breath, but they are not consistent at all... and when I begin to worry they stop! Thanks God!
Tomorrow I have an appt. with my OB and a growth scan, I´ll be a little more relaxed.
