First off, congrats on all your beautiful babies.
My question may seem odd, but I was just wondering how you ladies felt in the last few days/weeks before labor. The last few days, today especially I've felt really off. Kind of flu-ish but not sick if that makes sense, and just full and achy feeling. It's just different. I've been having sporadic contractions, but nothing timeable or steady. I'm on 20mg of Procardia every 6 hours thanks to a PTL scare @24 weeks but even this is different than that. I didn't know if it was my body preparing for what's to come or if I'm crazy LOL. In any case, I'd appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks so much!

I didn't deliver until 36 weeks, but I did get the flu at over 25 weeks. It was awful for me. I was so worried about my little babes!! But, it was all okay. I hope you get some advice from others and aren't actually sick!!!

    Hey-
If you feel "off", you should call your dr. Even if it's nothing, they can be reassuring.
Good luck & keep cooking those babies,

Definately!! Your body might be trying to tell you something.

I felt great until the week before I went into ptl at 28 weeks, it was early August and very hot which is why I thought that I felt so tired and heavy all of the sudden, now I know that my body was telling me something!

I felt good until that Saturday (7/15) morn, and by 1:30pm I was completely dilated and I had some babies. Looking back, I did feel tired, a bit crampy and my back was achy at work on Thursday, but laying down made me feel better, so I assumed it was "natural" to feel that way at 31 weeks and on my feet for 6 hours at work. Plus at my appt on 7/11 the PA said everything looked great...come back in 2 weeks.
I would follow your own instincts...if you feel something isn't right, call the doctor.

I delivered at 36 weeks and I felt flu-ish and off for the 2 weeks prior to that. The day before I delivered I had a lot of energy and didn't feel as bad, but by that evening I felt pressure and started having contractions. The boys were born very early the next day.

Umm, yeah. Call the Dr. At 33 weeks I was a "little off" for a few days. Just felt a little crampy. Then I woke up at 6:00am and was started having fast and furious contractions. I went to the hospital at 10:30am and delivered the twins at 1:39 and 1:40 pm. When I checked in I was thinning, but hadn't dialated. Then by the time the next Dr. came, I was at 3cm. The blood test showed I had a raging infection, and I ended up having an emergency c-section. Talk about a crazy birth story. And, if you do go to the hospital, take all your stuff, even if you think it is nothing. Really, I was expecting them to do an exam and send me home, but instead I was there for two weeks!

I can't really help, since I never went into real labor on my own. We had a scheduled c-section at 38 1/2 weeks. But, I've always been a firm believer of when you're pregnant call for anything you think is abnormal. They would rather you call, just in case. That's what they're there for!
