Question about the abbreviations used on the forum?

I notice in a lot of posts that I read there are abbreviations like "DD" and "DW" and "DH" and "DS"....what do these mean?

I feel kind of stupid asking :blush: but I cannot figure them out!

 

there are no stupid questions! these are family members, dd= dear daughter, ds= dear son, dh= dear husband, and dw= dear wife (i guess, i haven't seen this one used yet... lol). welcome aboard!

 

DH: Dear Husband, though if he is annoying you, if could be d***head. :girl_devil:
DD: Dear Daughter
DS: Dear Son
DW: Dear Wife
DP: Dear Partner

Although I think some people think "Darling" instead of "Dear" ... but you get the idea ...

dont feel stupid. ive been here for two years and some of the ones we dont use often still confuse me lol

 

Dear and Darn could be interchangeable when & if the mood hits! :winking:

Yes I agree! I never understand medical terms.. expecially when your in a doctors office talking about surgery, it scares you.
