Jack and Lily are almost 14 months old. I have noticed lately that when they wake up from bed or naps their little breaths have a little smell to them. Personally, I think it is kind of cute. It is not necessarily a bad smell, just a little scent. It sort of makes me smile as it is a bit of a reminder that they are turning into little humans.

We brush their teeth every night before bed. They certainly do not walk around with bottles or anything like that. They do not even get juice and I cannot imagine anything bad is going on in there. At their 1yr. well visit the ped said their teeth looked great.

Have you noticed this in your babies? Should I be brushing them more?

My sons have it too...after they wake up in the morning.

My uncle is a dentist and said its pretty normal, and I should just brush more.

All of my children have gone through this, especially when getting molars. Even the big kids when getting their 6yr old molars. Teething is havoc on that sweet baby smell.

i noticed this on bear a few weeks ago, and i think it's the sweetest thing that he has dragon breath LOL

their feet are beginning to smell, too, even though they very rarely wear shoes....i find it hysterical

I don't remember their breath changing or getting smellier (is that a word?).

I/they also brush their tongues when I/they brush their teeth.

Oh that's funny - I have to admit though that M&A have had the stinkiest feet since they were tiny, and the most they've ever had on were socks! They've been barefoot pretty much for the past 2 months so it isn't as noticeable now...

And bad breath? Oh yeah! Ava could knock out a horse with her morning breath - Max's is kinda bad but hers will put you back on your heels, lol. It's so cute because when you pick her up in the morning out of her crib she's trying to give kisses and you're doing everything you can to not smell her breath but still show appreciation for her affection, lol

One of my girls gets this way too. I know dh and I sometimes get stinky breath depending on what we eat and if it sours our stomach or not. I just chalked it up to something like that.

Mine have morning breath now, too. I don't notice it everyday, but some mornings I can't wait to feed them breakfast so I can brush their teeth and tongues.
