question about size 2T

is it the same as 18-24 months? or is it the size that come after 18-24 months?

 

2T is generally smaller at the hips. 24 months and 2T are almost the same, but as I've been told 24 months will have more room for a diaper. HTH! (this is how it was explained to me.)

 

It really depends on the brand. In general though, I have found 2T to be longer (longer pantlegs, sleeves), but a little narrower. Best to check the weight range on the tag.

 

Here's how it was explained to me: 18M & 24M run shorter lengthwise and wider widthwise than the corresponding 1T & 2T sizes. The T sizes are designed for kids who are walking and leaning out where the M sizes are for those who still have the chubby baby build. The regular 2 is like 2T but without room for a diaper. HTH!

ETA: I think this is pretty accurate because I had a hard time finding 1T sizes but the things I made from patterns in 1T fit my long & skinnies much better than their 18M stuff did.

 

hhhmmm...that's interesting. If/when I've been able to find 2Ts, they are still WAY too big for Anthony, who is in 24 mo still. The length is longer, which is good, but they don't seem much slimmer on him :unknw:

I agree, a little longer and maybe slightly slimmer cut.

 

2T might be a little slimmer, but I don't think it's by much. My girls are weird though...lol...reagan is so tall and skinny that I buy her 18 mo. shorts and 3T shirts (so they last through the summer months). it's funny to try adn match up clothes in the morning anymore. Morgan definitely needs 24 mo. or 2T shorts and 3T shirts. I only get 3T if it's the Circo brand at Target since their stuff tends to run small. for the most part, they are in 25 months in most everything.
