I had my anatomy ultrasound on Friday and the doctor told me that one baby had one kidney that was slightly larger than the other, but she said there was nothing to worry about. I have to go back in 3 weeks because they were not able to look at one of the baby's heart because of the way he was positioned and the doctor said that they would look at the kidney again. She kept reassuring me that nothing was wrong, but said that depending on what the next ultrasound showed I might have to go to a specialist. Did anyone else have this or might be able to shed some light?

Also, I only see an OBGYN, but I see a lot of people see a peri. Is that someone that all multiple mom's should see or just some?

I didn't see a peri at all during my pregnancy :)
I am sure if your Dr's office had any doubts they would send you to a peri right away.

i didn't have this with the kids, but i myself have one kidney that is notably larger than the other (in fact, all of the organs on my left side are smaller than those on the right) & i haven't had any problems with my kidneys at all.

I didn't a see a Peri until I was admitted to the hospital on bedrest. If your Dr told you not to worry, try not to. I know it's extremely hard!! Good Luck!! I hope it turns out to be nothing at all. Also, something to remember is that u/s measurements are not 100% accurate.

 Please try not to worry, if they were truely concerned they would have sent you to the specialist.

No experience with a larger kidney, but I did see a peri from the time we found out we were having twins, in addition to my OB. My OB automatically refers out multiples. The peri basically oversaw the babies health, and the OB oversaw my health, and they did work together at times when I was having difficulties.

I also saw a peri from the time we found out we were having twins. Like Becky, my OB refers all patients expecting multiples to a peri. I know it's hard, but try not to worry.

my doctor told me she wasn't going to send me to a specialist until she saw something of concern and when they saw that they share a placenta she sent me. Which was at 16 weeks

It depends on the doctor. At my hospital, it's the standard to have all multiples seen by MFM starting at 20 weeks but other posters only do this if there is an issue.

I only regularly see an OB, although she did send me to an MFM to have the big 20-wk ultrasound. Luckily, I am having an uncomplicated pregnancy so far. She said that if anything out of the ordinary came up or if she saw something she wanted a second opinion on, she would not hesitate to bring the MFM in for a consultation.
