Just wondering for those of you who kept your twins in a pnp--did you go by the weight limit of 15lbs for the bassinet? Or were they fine with a higher wieght up top? Or did you put them together in the bottom part? We are transitioning our boys to the cribs to sleep together, but for naps, they are righ tover the 15lbs for the bassient, but i want to keep them together if possible so they get used to sleeping next to each other again (I separated them for a while).

I only used our pnp bassinet for napping during the day when they were very young & they never slept there at night, but I think I would try to go with the weight limit. I'm sure a bit over wouldn't be a problem, but I always think what if something happened and one got hurt, how would I feel? So, I guess, for me, I would move them to the bottom. Good luck getting them in their crib!

We used the bassinet for napping. I had no idea there was a weight limit until I happened to read something on PNP that I should have read sooner and my kids were way over the weight limit combined. Thankfully nothing happened but right after that, I took the bassinet out and that was when we transitioned to the crib for napping. Good luck!

We used it for napping until the girls were about 4 months. They were born at a combined weight of 14lbs so if we followed the weight limit, we barely would have used it. My thought was the weight limit is more of a guideline and that a baby who weighs 15lbs could probably get out of the PnP or roll out or something, so it wouldn't be safe for that reason, not necessarily that at 15lbs the thing would fall.

We pushed the weight limit to 20lbs (10ish a piece). After that we did naps in the bottom part b/c we had a mattress for it. We didn't wind up using it too much b/c they were going through a fussy stage and wanted to be in the swing or bouncy. Even though we went over the weight limit, I checked to make sure it was fully attached every time I left them in there. I am like Tina though and always think "how would I feel if something DID happen?".

This is what I was thinking too.

Our girls are 20 pounds combined and we just took the bassinet off the other day. They really just lean in thier Boppy pillows in the pack n play. So now they just lay on the pillows in the bottom of it. I just want them to get used to being in it for when they are actually at an age to play and I can throw them in there while i do some laundry or something. The girls really still nap in their swings though. I just try to set them down in the PNP once in a while to get the feel for it. It really didn't seem like the bassinet would fall anytime soon, and I agree with those who were saying the weight limit was prob more for just the "age" that a baby would be who could climb over. I did notice that the bassinet seemed to be sinking at the middle though...like a worn out mattress.

Does anyone know if they sell a thicker padding for the bottom of the pack n plays??? They feel so hard to lay on!

I did not go over the 15 lb weight limit for the bassinet pnp. I moved them to a crib by the time they weighed that much.

I just folded a blanket to fit the bottom & then put a fitted playpen sheet over top of it so it couldn't move & it worked fine. I always found them hard too!
