My LO's are almost 2 months, my stomach has shrunk a lot but now I am at a stand still.

When did you guys notice your body was as back to as normal as it was going to get (without exercise)?

I am a few pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight but still can't fit into most of my clothes. I am also wondering if my skin is even going to go back...I am very thankful that I don't have many strech marks and the few I do have are faint but I don't want to have a flabby belly! LOL!!!

I know that at the end of the day it's not THAT big of a deal but......I would like to look good for myself and ofcourse my DH.

So all of this thinking leads me to ask, Have any of you had or thought about having a tummy tuck?

If so what was the outcome? Just curious....:)

Let me preface this by saying, I was overweight pre-twins so for me I felt like my body was close to pre-pregnancy look probably about 3-4 months after the kiddos. Now I am trying to lose the weight I've been carrying from before pregnancy  I do notice that I have extra skin in the belly area from the kiddos and I have pondered a tummy tuck but that is not even in our financial realm right now.

Let's see, it's been six months for me...no exercise and I'm still not back to pre pregnancy weight. I have another 20lbs to go. I would say that in another 6 months I should be set. Everyone's body is different though. I really thought I was going to lose all of it by now, but it's coming off very slowly. Oh and the twin skin is inevitable. I too am looking into a tummy tuck because the loose skin will never go away on its own.

Its been 3.5 years since I had the twins. I have to wear jeans that are a size or two larger due to the extra skin I have. I would LOVE to have a tummy tuck but I will not have a surgery that is not necessary. I wish I felt differently about that.

10 months and I'm about 5 pounds over my prepregnancy weight. But, my tummy is still flabby and gross. I don't foresee having a surgery in my future to fix it. Money is the main reason, and the 2nd is that I'm a wimp. I don't want to willingly put myself through pain.

Mine is better but still not back to where I would like it to be. Extra skin that I guess just isn't going anywhere. :pardon:

I still have the extra skin, and I am the same size as I was pre-twins.

I was underweight before,a and I am back to pre prego weight. My stomach did not get the memo!! My belly button never went in, twin skin, and I look about 12 weeks, not noticeable to anyone but myself. Oh well, they're worth it!

I'm about ten lbs less then I was pre-twins and I still have the skin. :( For me, it's looking like nothing will get rid of it but a tummy tuck. Good luck, I hope this isn't the case for you.

I hate to break it to you Lizzie, but my doctor actually said that when I asked her about it. She said no amount of situps (although she said they can't hurt at this point) will correct the problem, only surgery (although she really doesn't recommend it). :(

Oh I know, I've seen every part of my body change from working out BUT my tummy. :grr: Why doesn't she recommend surgery (and by that you mean a tummy tuck, no? )

I am 6 months postpartum. I still have 10 pounds to lose and it's all in my tummy. I used to have a nice flat tummy. You ladies don't give me much hope of losing the flab. :-(

I'm almost 5 months post partum and was at my pre-preg weight by 6 wks, and I still have the twin skin. I'm overweight as it is so the extra skin is really depressing, especially since having had 3 c/s's the skin hangs over my scar and makes it extra itchy! :(

I love my babes to death and would do it all over again, but sure would be nice to lose the twin skin! ;)

I am 12 months PP, still about 10lbs away from my PrePrego weight but my stomach is still nice and flabby. :( My belly button looks like a little slit. I've been working out quite regularly for months now and have noticed 'some' improvement but I'm not holding out hope for a flat tummy anytime soon. Sorry. :(

I was also underweight pre prego, I'm 10 lbs over that now, so I should be normal, right? Nope! I still look about 4 months pregnant. :( Of course, I don't have the time or energy to exercise much. I suppose if I lost the last 10 lbs and worked out it might be better, but I still think my tummy would be floppy.

If I decided to get my tummy done, my boobs and butt would get jealous and I'd have to have a full body makeover and a facelift! I think I'd better save up for retirement instead.

She's just like that, it's major surgery that she considers cosmetic so I think she just thinks it's not worth it. :pardon:

Yeah, if I'm going to fork out the money, I think I'd rather have a boob job.

I lost most my prego weight by 3 mos pp. Like other mommies, my body is back to its normal size all except for the couple inches of skin at my waistline :( I can wear my jeans from before though I have to make sure I'm wearing a long shirt [and I purchased a bella band After my pregnancy, lol. But it helps keep it all in ;)

Btw, they call the boob job and tummy tuck a 'mommy make-over'. We're gonna plan to save for this, but sadly it's going to be another 3-5 years before it can be done.

i was underweight.. i'm still 10lbs heavier than my pre-preggo weight but i'm going to have to diet and exercise to get rid of that.

my stomach doesn't really have extra skin.. it just has cookies, cakes and protein bars from pregnancy in it.

i delivered at 34w so maybe i avoided twin skin because i didn't get to grow those last few weeks?

My boys are almost 2 and I was back to my pre pregnancy weight (my highest ever) by my 6 week check up. It still took me until 4 months to get out of my maternity clothes and into pants a size bigger than I was before. When the boys were around 10 months I started seriously dieting and exercising daily. I lost 10lbs, but was still just wearing the same size clothes as I was pre pregnancy. I'd like to have one more pregnancy and then I will seriously be considering a tummy tuck and boob job!

I still have a little bit of a belly but i have done no excersize since having the girls 6mnths ago. The few stretch marks i had are now nearly undetectable :) I am more concerened about my c-section scar, it doesn't make me feel very :girl_devil: when i find myself in intimate situations!!!
I wont be having a tummytuck, if i were to remain as i am now i could live with it so it's not really worth the pain and expense for me.
