So--I just found out I failed my 1 hour test---the score was 130 which was the actual score for being just over the line---so that sucks! Just wondering how many of you failed 1 hour and passed the 3 hour---it all just seems neverending sometimes! (considering i had IVF to get here to begin with)

I failed the 1 hour once with my ds, and twice with my dd, but passed all three 3 hr's.

I just failed my 1 hr yesterday so I am going thursday to do the 3 hr! Good luck to us both :)

i failed the 1-hr last week (135 was my doc's cut off and that's where i came in). two of my sisters failed the 1-hr and both passed the 3-hr. i'm taking the 3-hr this friday and i think i'll be okay. mostly i'm annoyed i have to sit in those uncomfortable chairs for 3 hours!

    I did too.
I ate a bagel before the 1 hour and that was just plain moronic!
I passed the 3 hour, no problem.

I failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour with our last baby.

I am always told I can eat anything up until the point of drinking the solution before the 1 hour test. I haven't had mine yet during this pregnancy. Does anyone have any tips for what to or not to eat prior to that one that might help me pass it and avoid that three hour test?

I failed both the 1 hr and 3 hr, but was easily controlled with diet.

I have NEVER heard of anyone failing the three hour when the 1 hour number was that low. My 1 hr number was 184.

I failed the one hour by 2 measely points. I passed the 3-hour with flying colors.

I was told to "carbo load" three days prior to the 3-hour test. Don't go overboard on the bready products and potatoes, just eat a bit more than usual. Also no food or drinks other than water 10 to 12 hours prior to the test.

When you first drink the solution. It's bad. I'll be honest. I felt dizzy and icky and honestly I thought I was going to be laid out on the floor. After about thirty minutes I felt fine. After that, boredom is what got me. Make sure you bring something to read or some cross-stitching or even a lap top to occupy your time.

I passed my 1 hour test, but I did not eat anything before I took it. I went early in the morning and ate later. Not sure it made a difference but I got 104 and both my doctors were happy with it!

I failed my one hour, but passed the 3 hr. Eat a good diet for a few days before the 3 hr test, lots of carbs. Bring a good book for the test, it helps to pass the time.

I had GD with my twins, and just wanted to let you know it can be easily controlled with diet, if you are diligent. So don't worry too much either way!
