I picked out a diaper bag from Babies R Us that I just received at a shower. Nothing fancy or amazing, but it is a nice big bag that got a lot of good reviews. My question is... do you all prefer the bags that are just one big section on the inside? Unfortunately, i was overwhelmed during the registering process and didn't pay much attention. There are three sections on the outside, but the inside is just one large pouch that zips shut. Should i return and look for something with divided sections on the inside? With twins and needing more stuff...do those sections sorta limit you? Seems like a lot of the sectioned ones are smaller bags. Please let me know what has worked best for you all!

I've never found a diaper bag I love. I find them all annoying and even if they have sections its still hard to keep everything sorted out. I now use a big regular bag and keep things in zip lock bags. That way I just have to reach in and fish out the correct ziplock- 1 for diapers and wipes, 1 for blankets, 1 for burp cloths (when they were younger), 1 for extra clothes, etc etc.

I have the Skip Hop Duo Double, and I absolutely LOVE it! It has a big section inside, but plenty of little dividers to keep things separate. It also fits on the back of my SBS stroller which is a huge plus!

I got the Carters Brown and Aqua All the works bag.......LOVE it!! I did alot of looking around and reading reviews and this one had great reviews from parents with multiple children. Its big inside has inside and outside pockets and a cool/warm bag for bottles and a changing pad that comes with it. I am able to fit alot of things in it and that I like. I did get it from Babies r us too. You just have to find what works for you.

i've got an affordable eddie bauer bag from target. it's got a big opening in the middle and a few pockets around the perimeter of the inside and around the outside. frankly i use the big middle section more than anything else. as long as the bag has a couple of small insulated pockets that can carry bottles and a couple exterior small pockets where i can stash pacis and toys and meds, i figure that's all i need.

i guess i'm saying i wouldn't want a bag that's all one big open space, and i wouldn't want a bag that's all divided up. it's got to be a happy medium. that big open middle space is a good thing, you'll see.

The # of pockets really doesn't matter to me, I kind of just throw everything into the big pouch. I'm not a very organized person though.

I just broke down and ordered the Skip Hop Duo Deluxe. I thought I'd be able to get away with a smaller bag but once they started eating baby food, it just didn't work anymore. I wish I would have gotten the Skip Hop earlier. I got it for $70 from Diapers.com. $10 off for first time order and free shipping.

This is what I mainly use. In the beginning, I had a lot more stuff to lug around including a breast pump. So, I got a diaper bag which is close to a Skip Hop Duo Double. This is something which is recommended for people who have twinfants. HTH :).

I haven't been able to find a "diaper" bag I like. I'm very tempted to get the skip hop previously mentioned, but haven't wanted to spend the money yet.

I did however find a great bag from LL Bean, it's a messenger bag that is really comfortable to carry.
It has a large zipper pocket on the outside of eachend...(i put 2 burp clothes and 2 recieving blankets).

The outside front (where the flap covers when closed, has 5 pockets, where i put meds, cleaner, desitin, mylicon etc...the strap has a cellphone pocket for small to medium cell phones (mines an enve and fits well)

the inside has one big section I put outfits, bottles, premade formulas, pacifiers, chlorox cleaner toys and books...and another medium section where i put diapers and whipes...there is also a pocket on the outside that has a snap closure i put our feeding notebook in there (yup we still use one to record feedings and now starting to record naps i'm a statistic freak)...oh and the inside part zips....oh and I paid $24 at an LLBean outlet.

    I LOVE it...but I love bags so I want a change....haha
My bag also fits great on our Quattro stroller handle bars which is handy.

phew...sorry so wordy, i just remember not finding a "diaper" bag to fit my needs, I'm very organized...so it was great when i realized I didn't have to get an actual "diaper" bag to fit my needs...

*QUESTION: I just noticed the skip hop outside pockets don't have any closures on them, zippers etc...is this a problem for anyone? I'd be afraid of losing things..(sorry to piggy back on your message, Andrea)

Let us know what you decide!
    GL!

Honestly, I LOVE my diaper bag and still use it to this day. It is a back pack diaper bag which is always so awesome because you always have your hands free and don't have to have the annoyance of a bag sliding off your shoulder. It's especially convenient when they are a little older and walking and you need both of your hands to be available.

I know everyone has their preferences. I think it's really about what works for you. You obviously seemed concerned about having only one pocket and I would imagine it would be a pain in the butt trying to find anything when everything is all together in the same section but I think as someone else posted, placing things in ziploc bags might make things a little easier for you if you decide to stick with the one you got. If you can find colored ziploc bags I would buy a bunch of those so you can have different things (change of clothes, diapers, wipes and ointment, bibs, snacks, pacifiers etc) in different colored bags. That way you could find it easily and quickly.
